For the ladies who use this...

How often can it be used?
How strong of a protein is it?
Can it be used with Honeyquat?
Can it be mixed with SAA? or is it overkill?
Any other info is appreciated...

Thanks

I don't know much on how to use this but I know that back in the day when ORS replenishing pack JUST came out two of the main ingredients were Silk Amino Acids and Marine Collagen...they changed to formula and it wasn't the same. It's still a good product tho...but I taught this bit of info may help you. I don't think it would hurt to use it with SAA.

Thanks...
I really like the SAA...
I have not tried the Marine Collagen yet...
I may try it tomorrow?:ohwell:.. I don't know how strong the protein is in it...

bumping...

I know Viviscal has Cartigulous (sp) Marine Collagen in it and it makes my grow grow 1 + inches a month and my nails too, but it's around $50.00 for a 30 day supply. It does make your hair strong shiny AND long. I may just try this, I haven't take Viviscal since last year.

Marine protein helps restore hair to a healthy condition by coating the hair cuticle, and makes ur hair shiny and smooth and Silk proteins makes hair soft and silky so adding both wont be too much. Just make sure u use the recommended amounts per what ur making

Silk protein Rec. uses is 1-2.5%.. so per 4oz would be about 1/4tsp-1/2tsp
I love Silk so when I make my homeade concoctions I always use the max which is 2.5%

Marine protein Rec. use is .5-5%...so per 4oz would be about alittle less then 1/4tsp-1tsp
Ive never used it as a single ingredient in any mixes yet but My Mega Tek has it in there.
:)

Then you'll really love collagen. I make a little concoction with SAA, collagen, oat protein, and emu oil and add it to everything... mascara, body lotions, facial moisturizers and creams, hair products. I can see the difference in my skin when I use my collagen spiked moisturizer and when I've forget for a few days. :yep:

WOW, I hope you are talking about the Marine Collagen, I have this also...
I have not used the Marine Collagen yet...
Do u add equal parts of each to make your concoction?

I just use it whenever I need protein. I mix it in with one of my favorite conditioners. i don't have a set schedule, just whenever I need it.

I use a blend of silk peptide powder, silk amino acids, cottonseed protein, marine collagen, and panthenol every week as part of my deep conditioning treatment. I no longer have breakage; my hair is strong, soft, and shiny. It's the only protein treatment I give myself. It works well and prevents the hard hair deal I had when I tried ApHogee.

From your lips to God's ears. I actually only got about 4.5 inches in the last 12 months. :cry2: It looks like it's just now starting to pick up momentum.
