Pantene relaxed & natural mask OMG!!!!

When I was natural, Pantene R&N was a GODSEND. The conditioner would just melt tangles away and make my natural curls POP!!!

As a relaxed-head, it doesn't do much for me at all...

I went to Target today and they were all out of the Mask, yet had full stock of the other R&N products.

LURKERS!!!!!!!! :angry2:

I ended up going to Kroger's, and luckily they had it in stock there. I love the fact that it has Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Panthenol. When I got back to my apt, I tested the consistency of it between my fingers. When I went to rinse, the tips of my fingers were so slippery! It took forever to actually "rinse" off. I hope the slip is that amazing when I use it on my hair!

Can't wait to try it later this week!

Hmm.... I bought it yesterday and used it right away.
I didn't clarify or added Oil or SM(my trusted weapons for moisturized smooth hair) and it did a great job actually.
I'm impressed.
I get about the same results with mixing SM,Oil and a good GLY-condi,but this alone works just fine.
I was able to comb through my hair just fine and today my hair feels very moisturized and smooth.
I also have less shrinkage then normal for some reason this might be tough b/c I was able to comb through my hair so easily.
My pony is almost double in size today.:yep:

For the people having problems with finding the mask:

Pantene Pro-V Nourishing Moisture Replenishing Mask could be a possible subsitute, my housemate came accross this a few weeks ago and asked me if the ingredients looked good and I told her it looked like it could work lol. She uses a blowdryer and flat iron on it everyday (she white) and her ends were taking a beating. Now her hair looks nice and moisturized instead of dry and brittle and the ends look so good now that she went easy on the heat.

The ingredients are basically the same as the R&N Mask but with some in slightly different order:

Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride,Cetyl Alcohol, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether,Lysine HCl; Methyl Tyrosinate HCl, Histidine, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

r&n Mask ingredients:

Water; Stearyl Alcohol; Amodimethicone; Behentrimonium Chloride; Cetyl Alcohol; Panthenol; Panthenyl Ethyl Ether; Fragrance; Lysine HCl; Methyl Tyrosinate HCl; Histidine; Benzyl Alcohol; Disodium EDTA; Methylchloroisothiazolinone; Methylisothiazolinone; Sodium Hydroxide

Wow, the ingredients on my R&N Breakage Defense Mask are totally different.

Water; Stearyl Alcohol, Amodimethicone, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Fragrance, and a bunch of other stuff.

...really? I was going by the ingredients list provided earlier in the thread....my bad

I found the ingredients...

Hair Treatment

Uses
For women of color. The Present: Extremely brittle, dry, damaged hair that sheds excessively. The Future: Resilient, stronger, healthy hair that has dramatically less shedding due to breakage.

Directions
After shampooing, apply desired amount of Deep Conditioning Mask to hair, concentrating on areas that need special attention. Leave mask on hair for desired length of time. Rinse, dry and style as usual. For maximum conditioning, wear a plastic shower cap and sit under a heated dryer. For best results, use with other items in the Breakage Defense Collection.

Active Ingredients
Water; Stearyl Alcohol; Amodimethicone; Behentrimonium Chloride; Cetyl Alcohol; Panthenol; Panthenyl Ethyl Ether; Fragrance; Lysine HCl; Methyl Tyrosinate HCl; Histidine; Benzyl Alcohol; Disodium EDTA; Methylchloroisothiazolinone; Methylisothiazolinone; Sodium Hydroxide"

Ok, first off I'm not a PJ :look:, but after reading this entire thread this morning, I had DH stop off at Walmart and pick me up a jar before he came home from work this morning!! :perplexed :lachen:

I bought some of this during my weekly PJ binges this week. Can't wait to try it. I hope it works well for me:spinning:

If you don't want it, please send it to me!!! Q

I had the nerve to look for this while I was in Target today (the one in Waldorf).

Now tell me which one of you got it all.

:nono:

Ladies, can we talk about the difference of ingredients?

Mine has Coconut Oil & Jojoba Oil. Others just have panthenol.

The conditioner that has Coconut Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil oil is the
Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Intensive Moisturizing Conditioner, not the Deep Conditioning Mask

Yeah, but I have the Breakage Defense Mask in the brown jar, navy blue top, and purple stripe.

It has Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Panthenol in it. Maybe they misprinted the ingredient listing, or they're changing the ingredients for the better.

Maybe that's why we can hardly find the jars anywhere. Maybe they're recalling the product due to misprints in the ingredients. I'm sure they don't want any lawsuits coming around for misrepresentation.

This stuff is definitely the truth....and I just started using it and am already hooked.....hair is sooooooooo manageable once rinsed out

I was lucky and found mine at CVS for $ 6.19

Cid

Publix has a sale 2 for $7

I love this stuff.....I used to hate Pantene b/c none of the products work but this mask is the truth! My hair was noticeably softer....I couldn't keep my hands out of my hair! Thanks Gymfreak for recommending :)

Messin' around with gymfreak, I bought the 3 pak from Amazon and I already had 3 jars that I had got from wallyworld, so I stocked up on 'em. That stuff is tha truth, I can't be without it (that, and my beloved ORS RP):nono:

*sigh*

Okay, I'll bite.

I'm gonna break down and get some this Saturday.
I have my staple shampoo, now I'm just looking for the conditioner to go along with it.

Damn heffers.........
lmao j/k

For the ladies who are buying the mask, do any of your jars have Coconut Oil and Jojoba Oil in the ingredient list?

I got three sets of it waiting in my shopping cart to be bought when I order my textbooks for spring.
