SEDU! SEDU! SEDU!

did I say sedu yet? :)

Right now I have tried:
Wigo--first ceramic was ok, hair used to snag and the ceramic was chipping.
Sedu--after 1000 great reviews, how could I go?
CHI--BS, no temperature control and the plates suck compare to the smoothness of a Sedu.

With my coarse 4a/b new growth, the Sedu lets me stretch to 4 months easily. And my relaxed hair doesn't get burnt, singed or crispy..

My Jilbere use to have my hair blingin like nobody's business, but after I switched to lye from no-lye, it seemed to have lost it's touch....

Geez, I might have to check this Sedu out. Where did you get yours?

I got it Christmas 2005 as a gift. It was from folica.com.

Then folica had a sale a few weeks ago, I got the 1.5 inch and the CHI. I was disappointed that the CHI has no temperature control on it(its called the Original CHI) and has a "consistent" temperature of 400F. Because my hair is thick and very coarse, my new growth gets tangled something fierce the longer I stretch. To combat the tangles and knots, I rollerset weekly on the largest rollers I can use(the purple or grey ones) then I flat iron the roots only. I am not dexterous enough to blowout my own roots...

SEDU!!!!!!! I love that thing. *kisses flat iron*

The maxiglide's been collecting dust ever since Sedu came into my life.

ETA: ITA with sweetness. lol.

My Chi has temp control. I'm not sure if it's an original or not, but I've had it for quite a while. You can go so low on it, that it'll be just warm- or you can burn the bleep outta your hair:lachen:

I have Sedu the shine is okay. I would like to have the FHI runway flat iron just refuse to pay almost $400 for it.

Ok, none of the above. The GHD original styler is the best I've ever used for shine. I have used the CHI, the HAI, and SOLIA. It is expensive $195...but I get a discount .

I did? Awww. Thanks.

I have really been meaning to post some new SEDU pics. I don't know why I'm so lazy when it comes to doing that. I just flat ironed my hair last night. I'd like to claim past WL now but I'm not sure if I can.

For me, it is my process and products that give the shine, not really my choice of iron.

Totally agree!! If you over do it with product usage or not using the right products for your hair, your hair will lack shine regardless of what flat iron you use.

Exactly! Or that FAKE shine from too much serum. :ohwell:

SEDU hands down. Absolutely no contest here!!

I voted Sedu!
I just got it a week ago and I've never seen anything work like it did and I used it on a low temperature too (around 280 degrees). Not only did I have shine, I also had a softness that I'd never had before. At 12 weeks post my hair was flowing like I just got a fresh relaxer and now a week later it didn't revert much and it is still soft and has shine. I believe this iron really does have conditioning benefits. Talking about getting the salon look at home! The results were unbelievable!!!

(fyi-my avi and siggy pics are just a blowout. Not the results of my Sedu. Those will be posted as soon as I get a new cam for christmas)

Me too. I'm usually a die hard Jilbere fan but it has recently let me down. I purchased an iron in October and my shine was amazing. Then I left it back home during the holidays so I had to purchase another one. The new one had a chemical smell that wouldn't go away. I used it for one week thinking it was just new but the smell never went away. So I took it back to Sallys to exchange. "Maybe it was a fluke", i was thinking. Now the one that I exchanged is supposed to be even better than the one I had (it cost more). It has curved plates and everything. However, I have to turn the temp up to almost 20 to get the same effect at 15 with my original Jilbere. I don't understand and I'm very disappointed.

I am, however, ready to try Sedu. Where do I get one?

Well, I just took the plunge and bought the 1 inch Sedu. I hope I can post a rave review like you did. What products did you put on your hair to get such great results? (like I need MORE products:drunk:)
