You are playing my song!!! This crazy weather here in NY is killing me from head to toe!! I have been doing oil rinses in the shower and they are helping. I have really cut back on shampooing, doing cowashes all the time. My hair is loving it for now.
:nono: Grrrrrr winter is right!!!

It ain't peaches and cream her in Philly either... shoot! If I look down one more time and see ashyness between my fingers one more time, I'm gonna scream!

I know how you feel! it has been a little nippy in Texas and it don't take much for my skin to get dry, I have been applying my Vaseline on my feet at night with my cotton socks, so they will look pretty when open toed shoe season comes. I have been applying Baby oil to my damp skin when I get out, and I have to apply a thick heavy lotion to my hands several times a day because I am always washing my hands and apply hand sanitizer and that can make them dry.

I have only been shampooing at night about 1-2 times a week and that is it, When Summer comes I will go back to Co-Washing, but for now it is a no no! I hate the feel of cold wet hair:nono:

SAME HERE!!!

I have to keep moisturizing my face throughout the day. I increased my water intake to see if that will help!

I have to moisturize my ends everyday - I usually only do it every other day.

My cuticles and hands are dry, too!!

Get a humidifer, it works wonders. I have a vicks that cost me $10 or so and it is a lifesaver in winter. It warms up my room and puts all the lost humidity back wher it belongs. Yay for humdifiers!!! :lachen:

Would that be a bad thing?
I have cats and one tried to lick me non-stop afterwards:rolleyes:

Aww that's so cute.
LOL, no it's not a bad thing. But, I know he'll wonder why is the honey in the bathroom instead of the kitchen. He cracks me up because it's basic stuff that I use he likes, I put on Bath and Body works or other frangrances compliments. Honey, peppermint, cocoa butter or shea butter I'm up all night "like scoot over, get off of me, gimme back my pillow."

Ladies try a tablespoon of flaxseed oil daily. Its VERY moisturizing for skin and hair.

Don't bother with pills. Ive found that they don't have the same effects.

Milk bath. Add powdered milk to your bath water (I also add a bit of oil)...exfoliate and enjoy that beautiful skin that results. It will remove ALL the dry skin. I hop in the shower after the bath and then moisturize with olive oil/lotion mixture....skin like butter!!

:lachen:@ body oil rinse, but I really do put Aphogee EFA (or some type of oil) in my bath water during the winter. :look: You don't need lotion when you get out.

ETA: My lips and nail cuticles peeling tho. :(

Maaan I've been singing the same blues to my SO. I live in CA so the temp is mild but danggit it gets dry with them darn Santa Ana winds.

When my skin looks like this I

1) Scrub down with a creamy salt scrub
2) Rinse and take a bottle of olive oil and pour over my entire body until I am nice and oily.
3) Wrap myself in a bed sheet and go to bed.

I got this tip from a magazine and it has worked like a charm ever since.
