Gah, its been a whole year, and it seems that I get so little growth compared to some of the people on this board! :wallbash: I know, I know I shouldn't compare but still...its hard not to when I see so many ladies with lovely hair on here! Still, I guess my hair LOOKS healthier, and thats what matters right? I've learned a lot from this board including that relaxer and bleach don't really mix all that well :lachen:. I've been cw-ing and avoiding direct heat, even though its a lot harder to do so with short hair, I think. Hopefully in another year I'll be past neck length! Its a long hard road to bsl...

(please ignore all strange faces and headpieces lol)

You will get there in no time girlie. Everyone's hair journey is different. Here's to next year getting more growth while maintaining great hair health!

Yeah... the key to this whole thing is a word that I hate... PATIENCE.
It's hard to have it. Looks like your hair IS growing though.
Keep doing the pics and only compare your own pics to each other.
I admire other longer heads on the board but I'm so self absorbed:grin::grin:, I only drool over the idea of ME with longer hair.
You can do it!
Make sure you take some sort of multi vitamin though. It really will help.

i can see some progress from ear length to chin. Your getting there, perhaps not as fast as you'ld like. I think you've made good progress. BTW, your very pretty.

Your hair looks great...It looks like a whole new head of hair.

I too have not seen great gains in length even after two years. I have had many many ups and downs but in the process I have learned more about my hair and it has totally transformed. If you look at pics of me before 05 and now, it looks like a whole new head of hair.

One thing I have noticed is that sometimes, depending on hair type and damage level, the first year or two doesn't always give you great length gains but instead you get better hair. The overall quality is different; the level of health is greatly improved.

Keep it up. I too have short hair and I've just started my journey. We just have to be patient, which is easier said than done, and know that our hair is growing healthier inch by inch. BTW, I see great progress.

Are you joking? Your hair is longer and it's all shiny and whatnot! Girl, you are doing the damn thing! Plus, you're so pretty!

I think you've made progress. I feel you though, it's a long journey I've been on it for a yera and I havent been where I would like to be. Like someone else said the key is patience and consistency. It may not seem like it's growing but dont stop taking care of your hair. We'll all get there.

AWEEEEEEE THAAAAAAAAANKS!

I've been lurking for a while. I finally decided to join. It was my excuse to get out of studying, lol.

I do need to start taking those. I used to take biotin, but then I got lazy, and forgot all about it. I should get into the habit again

Thanks! I guess I've been hanging out here too long, where every other day you see pictures of girls with shoulder length hair, and then 3 months later they're BSL . I'm always like "WHAT IS YOUR REGIMEN!?!?"

hey girl you have some progress and your hair is so gorgeous so black and lucious! you should be proud! sometimes when we are on our goals we forget about enjoying our hair in the meantime your hair is lovely i could play in it all day

Hey girlie! Your hair looks great and you've made great progress! First things first...you gotta learn your hair and what it takes to be healthy. Then you can start to gain length. You appear to be on the right track to me!:yep:

Oh girl, you and me both! Some of these girls go from collar to a** in 12 months, I'm like, "what? but we have the same reggie!" But I've learned my hair isn't like everybody elses. And when I see a girl on here with WL hair, if you ask them, they will actually tell you that it took a few years to get where they are now...so don't be fooled. Anything worth having is worth working hard for, and waiting for...

i can tell that you've DEFINITELY made progress. i mean, look at the back of your hair, it's grown at least 5 or 6 inches between the first and second pictures! you'll get to shoulder in no time, especially since your hair is already in a protective style, cuz it's not rubbing up against shirt material or anything like that.

on another note, i LOVE the style you've got in the latter 2 pics... if i was a braver woman i'd chop off what i have and get a piecy cut like that (but i cried the last time someone cut off an inch, so that won't happen  )

Your hair is making progress. The cut is very cute on you and you are very pretty. You are going to have this hair for the rest of your life, so just enjoy the ride. And dont sleep on the egg whites in addition to the vitamins.

Your hair is not only growing, but it also looks healthy and it has a healthy sheen to it. Keep doing what you're doing.

Just to add, that second and third pic looks very Next Top Modelish... you grow girl! :yep:

Hi Rei...I see progress that your hair is growing very well...:yep:...yes when your hair is short it is hard to avoid heat but as long as you deep condition your hair and use a heat protector you will be just fine! Hang in there lady!
