for you ladies that use it,

1) what does it smell like? is it yummy? :lick:
2) how do you use it?
3) is it really THAT good?

also, when i was still lurking aorund couple of months ago, one of you lovely ladies gave a website that sold it in a 32 oz. bottle... what was the site again? the search feature isn't being cooperative today.

It doesn't have a smell at all. I think that's why I don't really like it. It did fine for moisturizing my hair but I didn't like that it didn't have a smell. You just apply it to wet hair and comb it through after you've washed. Then style as usual. You don't rinse it out. You might be able to apply it to dry hair too but I never tried it like that.

It has a very light floral smell to me. Its pleasant but wouldnt be very noticeable to anyone else around you unless their noses were all up in your hair. Its creamy and makes my hair feel really soft and moisturized. I put it on while my hair is slightly damp and then seal with an oil. Its the best leave in i've used so far.

SherryLove is co-signing with BronxJazzy. I have been using Giovanni DL-I for 11 years now. smile....

I could not have said it better than BronxJazzy. I love this stuff. I actually got excited when I saw the title of the thread. :look:

I hugged a friend the other day and she loved how my hair smelled. "What is that?" she asked. GIOVANNI DIRECT LEAVE-IN its the b-o-m-b!!!!!!!

The smell is very light; it almost reminds me of lotion. It's a fantastic detangler...unlike any other I've tried. But if you use too much, it can make the hair feel hard and crunchy.

I used this product after co-washing on damp wet hair. I stopped using this leave in because it left my hair feeling dry and unmoisturized :nono: When I switched to products with more glycerine and oils, I noticed that my hair retained more moisture :drunk:.

I really like it. I use every morning and night as a moisturizer and use coconut oil to seal. I like it because it has a light smell, a great detangler, and keeps my hair moist. A little goes a long way.

As everyone has already stated, it does not really have a scent. I find that if I use it and don't seal w/an oil, my hair is very dry; seal it w/an oil and it's :yep:.

A little really does go a long way.

I love it. You can actually order a sample size whicj is what I did off the giovanni website. I'm gonna go back and order the full size, but I ordered the sample to see if I like it or not. It really makes you hair soft and easy to comb after a wash.

for you ladies that use it,

1) what does it smell like? is it yummy? :lick: .

-I can't quite describe the smell, but I really like it. Mild smelling nice.

2) how do you use it? .

-as one of my leave-ins. I am a natural, and I do "low manipulation".
since I wash my hair with the twists in, while my hair is damp I use
coconut oil first, then put the direct over it. This really helps me to
not only seal in moisture but my hair is soft and detangling is a breeze
when the 30 days is up :)

3) is it really THAT good? .

-YES, YES a thousand times YES!!!!!

I ordered Giovanni and I currently await mine

Mean while I picked up another LHCF favorite PROFECTIV Anti Break Leave-in , I love it too!!!

Now what am I gonna do :look:

I thought I posted here yesterday. :drunk:
The smell to me is very light, fresh and clean. My rollersets are always shiny and bouncy after using this leavie-in and sealing with oil.

I love that it's all natural and organic and that I can find it in most health stores, including Vitamin Shoppe. :)

It dosen't smell yummy to me. It has a weird smell but it's light. I use it as a leave-in after shampoo'ing. It's good stuff and it detangles well but I liked Elucence better and it detangles like nothing else I've used.

oh wow, such great information! thanks everyone!!!

the website is www.massagewarehouse.com

you have to type in giovanni in the search box.

thank you SO MUCH for the website information! i'm gonna order the 32 oz. bottle. that way i can divide it up into smaller bottles, and add a bit of honey and possibly a little spearmint oil to enhance the smell.

yay!

Its called Pharmacentre Pharmacy and the address is 149 Edgeware Road, London W2 2HU. Its near Somerfield supermarket.

Oh, and the price is £9.99.

I bought my 1st bottle the day before Thanksgiving last week & this is definitely a keeper. Now that I'm thinking about it, the smell is so light that I would say there isn't one. I put it on my wet hair & it detangles very well. I did a rollerset on my natural hair with it today. I had DCed with ORS (in about 10 loose plaits) & I didn't even have to detangle with my wide tooth comb. I was able to immediately start the rollerset with a small comb. All of my hair hasn't dried yet but when I took out one of the rollers in the back to check, my hair was very soft & silky feeling & my natural hair is relaxer straight. HTH
