Yeah that is crazy I thought it was just me.

Maybe you are using too much of it and not cleaning off the iron regularly? I do get a little brown goo on there, but that is after I straighten a few times and when I have too much product in my hair. You have to wipe it off after each use to keep it clean and make sure you are not going overboard with the Silk Infusion (unless more works for you, in that case I guess youre gonna have to live with that goo...:ohwell:)

yeah you are probably right. I need to slow down bc it really isnt necessary to use a lot.

Treat it like gold, ladies. Like they're rationing it out or something.

lol at least I know I do. That is one container of silicones that I REFUSE to be liberal with.

Now GF Sleek & Shine... I can pour it all over my head.. Silk Elements and Motions' cones can go down the drain for all I care. Even Biosilk can be wasted to an extent... but when it comes to that CHI Silk Infusion... I don't waste a drop of it.

Man i need to study and stop testifying...

you know what ? me too I have some ntm that I bought in a pj moment and I mix that with it to stretch it :perplexedmaybe that is the buildup problem too. Now go study!!!

i wonder this, too
i did ask about how it was on natural hair
but i definitely want to know particularly about the ends
you know how flat ironing natural ends are.

it works great on ends, i used it on my recent flatiron. you can see my avatar ponytail as well. it got my hair relaxer straight and no fuzzy ends!

Wow...

Your hair looks AMAZING straight!. You have hair just like my neice (except some of her curls are looser and she has more frizz)... I was actually tempted to do hers just from seeing ur avatar... but I just realized she is 6 years old and wth would a kid need some flatironed hair for? At least someone gets to enjoy it, lol.. Does your hair revert very fast? I heard hair like yours (and hers) has a hard time staying straight

*sigh* its been so long since i have felt that PJ itchthat i'm feeling right now..lol

now ladies, i usually use biosilk shampoo, conditioner, then silk therapy before i get my hair straightened. Those are my traditional hair straight hair products, and they work great combined with my stylists skills but i guess i will have to try this CHI....

Where can I find this product the cheapest in stores? Alta?
Does anyone have a list of the ingredients? Is it just a bunch of cones and alcohol like biosilk?

I LOVE Chi Silk Infusion, its the ONLY thing ive been using for months now for flat ironing! It last FOREVER too, i have a big bottle and a tiny one and im not even sure itll be used up by the expiry in 2009,, One thing I find weird about it is how it seems to coat the flat iron, i find i have to keep cleaning the browned silk infusion off of it,,, anyone else have this??

In addition to using less product, perhaps you could try turning the temp of the flat iron down? Maybe that could help...

Has anyone noticed a difference in quality when purchasing it fro Wagreens or Target vs a an actual Salon, or Ulta/ Trade Secret?

the same to me. A few months ago my local Giant grocery stores were clearing all of its salon products at 50% off :yep::drunk::spinning: and there were a bunch of the 2 oz. bottles of the CHI silk infusion. You know I hit up all the Giants to wipe em out! I am still working on those bottles and they are the same as the ones I have purchased from BeautyFirst.

I like to get mines from JC Penny when they have buy 1 get 1 free, but i may have to get the 6oz bottle when they have buy 1 get one 1/2 off.

Look in my siggy and I have pics with result of Chi only about a quater amout on my hair when i rollerset and saran wrap. Today I put a little through my hair, after brushing my teeth and washing my face, I flat iron with my new iron I got and man talk about silky. My coworker is glad I got her hooked on it.

Adding to my product pick up list.
I wonder how long my new flat iron will take to get here.

This silk infusion will really get the test of it's life with all my newgrowth.

i was able to pick up some of the silk infusion today

at first my plan was to just use it when i flat iron (which is months away)

but since i've read about you gals using it after your washes, i decided to try it tonight! i actually tried it on a small section of my hair before i washed and it made that section of my hair feel really good. we'll see how it works out on my whole, clean, deep conditioned & moisturized head.

BOOMSHA!

How are you ladies using this... on wet or dry hair? Are you air drying, blow drying, or roller setting? I picked this up over the weekend. I just used it like I would a leave in conditioner.

Have any of you used the shampoos and conditioners by CHI?

I put a little on while it's wet. And then when it airdries I put a little more on each section before I flat iron so every hair is covered. Works great. I haven't dried the shampoo and conditioner but I head they were as good as well.

I just wanted to say there is a seller on ebay that was selling the 12 oz bottle for 19.99 and like 2.87 shipping.....you KNOW I swiped one of those up! There are ppl paying 15 bucks for the tiny 2 oz bottle. Maybe I can make the 12 oz last me for whole year in 08. If u search chi silk infusion and look under buy it now there were a few bottles on there for this price.
