I m not natural but--- Right now I have almost 4in of NG from transitioning and it keeps it straight for a long time when I use my CHI flat iron. I straightened on Saturday and here it is Tuesday evening and my roots are still straight (actually straighter than it was when I would straighten my hair 3 weeks post relaxer).

sounds good to me! i think i'll definitely get some of this next time i get out to the mall. i'm trying to collect all of my products and gather techniques for when i flat iron.

exciting!

I love it...I use it weekly after shampooing and cond
I buy the mini bottles off of ebay..they give you 8 tiny bottles for a good price

This is some hair crack. I love this stuff so much. I don't think I've ever tried a product that is comparable. I don't wash without it anymore.

lol,
i was just thinking she meant she used it everytime she did a wash
maybe after the wash?

not so much that she washed it out
but maybe i'm wrong?

Does it help smooth ends when straigthening natural hair???

i wonder this, too
i did ask about how it was on natural hair
but i definitely want to know particularly about the ends
you know how flat ironing natural ends are.

i was also wondering if this is enough alone as a heat protectant
or if i'd have to use something on top of it?

They need a 32 oz size. Then you would never run out. But I bet it would cost an arm and a leg and your first born.

whoa girl! :lachen: It would be so hard to pour it in your hands!

Well, you could use it to refill one of your 2 ounce bottles. That's what I do with the 12 ounce one I have.

I'm pretty sure alot of you already know the results of this stuff. But this is my first time using it and I have to tell you....I'm in love with my hair all over again. I did research on this product before I bought it. And all I saw was "soft and shiney, soft and shiney". I can't believe how soft and smooth my hair feels. My Dh was even like, "your hair has never look that way before has it". He couldn't keep his hands out of it. My hair is sooo detangled, moisturized, bouncey, and soft and everything you could want a product to do. Did I forget to mention it smells so good. This definately will be one of my staples since I like to use the flat iron. My hair is as "Soft as butter and sleek as satin"; In the words of the Tawny Scrawny Lion(Do yall remember that book lol).

I agree! I never heard of Silk Infusion before finding LCHF. I used it for the first time 2 weeks ago. It's is nothing short of a miracle for my wig.:lachen:

My hair was so so soft, shiny and sleek. My ends looked so nice after flat ironing, I think I'm in love:love2:

I buy professional products at a discounted price so I'm able to purchase the 6oz bottle for 12 bucks! :reddancer:

This is my HG!

I have natural kinky 4a/b hair. I washed and conditioned my hair with dove sheer moisture.

Section my hair in to 4 sections to detangle

I poured the Chi Silk Infustion into my bottle of Silk Elements Glossing Polish and shook.

Pour a small amount of the mixture on my hands and glided onto one section of my hair.

I got a wide tooth comb and it just glided through..yes i said glided through.

Im letting it airdry and will flat iron in the morning.

It is very soft!!

This is a must have!!!

I will add this to my staple of products!!

Wow .... girl you are very luck!!

I buy at a professional beauty supply store and the man that owns it just sells to the general public..lol...he doesn't ask for beauty licenses! So I stock up! :-) The only drawback is the man will talk you into the middle of next week, so you have to pretend you are on a cell phone to avoid it..lol.:lachen:

Next week I'm going to purchase the Chi Wet-2-Dry Iron for 140.00:drunk:

Dang yall! No, I do not rinse it out. I repeat I do not waste the Chi silk infusion. I use it as a leave in on wet hair. So I use it after ever wash.

Is this something to be used exclusively with flat ironing ?
Can it be used on soaking wet hair that you plan on air drying.
The few times that I don't rollerset my hair I pull it back in a bun and go under the dryer for a bit. Will it help to smooth my hair ?

I don't flat iron. I air dry. My hair dry, straight and silky.

When I was researching and I looked on here I saw how you raved about. Do you still use it all the time? How is your hair now from the result of using it(basically do you think it's helped with your hairs health?)

it didnt hurt it. when i started using it that was before my lhcf days so i didnt know anything about heat protectants and such. i just like that it made my hair like silk!!:lick: it really gave or gives my hair a salon finish to it! i used to put a little dab on my hair every day or every other day. on wash days i use it prior to blow drying and if i'm going to flat iron on each section that i'm going to iron. now that i'm getting texlaxed, i'm going to saturate my hair with it before i get touch ups:grin:

I may try to see how it compares to my BBD flatiron silkening lotion which leaves hair soft and silky.

Sale Alert! Sale Alert! Sale Alert!

JC Penny is having a buy 1 get one half off sale on open stock items, and they open at 9:00 am.

SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

For all you Chi Silk Infusium lovers. Never tried it but since I had the 411 on this product, I wanted to drop it on ya'll!!!!

Is there anything natural in this product? What are the ingredients? I am having a hard time thinking a quarter size will keep this cottony mass soft and shiney. Not worried about bounce, that will NEVAH happen! :lachen:

I mix mine, as well and it works wonderfully. I mix it in my hand and not until I am ready to apply it, but just about the same as how you do it.

I LOVE Chi Silk Infusion, its the ONLY thing ive been using for months now for flat ironing! It last FOREVER too, i have a big bottle and a tiny one and im not even sure itll be used up by the expiry in 2009,, One thing I find weird about it is how it seems to coat the flat iron, i find i have to keep cleaning the browned silk infusion off of it,,, anyone else have this??

Yeah that is crazy I thought it was just me.

I would use it with whatever you use to rollerset with, it gets rid of frizz and makes your hair come out soft. Like if you used Lacio Lacio or whatever people on here use, maybe you could use a drop of CHI Silk Infusion with it?

I would never use the 44 Iron Guard for a roller set or much else. I have it but I only use it when I am feeling brave... it is loaded with Alcohol (you can even smell it) and makes my ends look chewed up and crispy.

I have it too but don't like it at all.:nono: MY HAIR FELT HORRIBLE AFTERWARDS. :nono: Chi is the ISH though.
