Ear protectors are plastic covers for the ears and they are used when you go under a hood dryer. They help protect the ears from the heat, making it comfortable for you. You can find them at some BSS's, I saw some @ Sally's but they were like mini plastic caps. I think those are to protct your ears from hair dye. HTH!

You can buy them at any beauty supply store.
Vev- I suggest you buy the hard plastic ones and get soft foam red pair as well to put under the plastic ones. I find the plastic ones get hot as well.

Make sure your clips are not hitting your ears. Those metal pins get really hot.

I've never used the plastic ones. Someone said they were at Sally's.

I need some too. When I rollerset my hair, if the roller rests on my ear, the roller gets so hot from the heat that the roller literally leaves a burn mark on my ear. This has happened about 3 times.
