Hello ladies! So, I know I'm starting a thousand threads asking a million questions, but I need to know:

How in the world do you use Monistat? And what are the benefits?

When I first found out what it was, I was like, "you guys are " But now I'm creeping towards using it because every other suggestion I've used thusfar has really helped. So can somebody please a in discovering the effects of using MN? Do you mix it? and with what? And please, no abbreviations, I'm still getting the hang of it all!

I don't even know my hair type yet! I know, pitiful:covereyes

I feel like the Scar fish on Finding Nemo but anway. Welcome have fun and enjoy LHCF!!! Oh yeah you want to know about MN(Miconazole Nitrate) also the active ingredient in Monistat for some increase hair growth some people have expierced up to 1 in one month where as the normal growth rate is 1/2 inch per month...so MN is used a growth aide to speed up hair growth.

Don't buy Monistat the brand as a growth aide it's too expensive. Just get regular generic tube from Family Dollar, Walgreens/Walmart/Target/ or from the pharmacy counter, it will run you about 5-6 dollars for a 1.59 oz. That way if MN doesn't work for you, your not out of dinner maybe just a value meal at Micky D's or Wendys. Some people use 4% just read the back of the package and/or tube and it will tell you. 2% and 4% refers to the concentration MN. I for one just don't care if it 2 or 4 anymore because either way I get growth. Any growth I am just happy now. In the beginning I started off applying MN right from the tube, just rubbing it to my scalp every other day. Now I mix it with castor oil, peppermint oil and the whole tube of MN.(Heck I even cut open the tube to get the excess don't want to waste any MN that could mean precious growth) J/K. But I do cut open the package and dig out the remaining with a plastic knife. This mixture normally last me about two to three weeks because I only apply it every other day rather than every day now. I stop using about for about 4 weeks at time(2 week before relaxer and 2 weeks after a relaxer).

You can do a search about Miconazole Nitrate and get a wealth of infomation. Again, welcome and have great time reading everything there is alot I do mean alot of information on this site.

Some people mix theirs with Sulfur 8. My mix consist of sulfur 8, castor oil, peppermint oil, and sulfur.

My mix is BT, DooGro, WGO, and the MN. I also have another tube and apply directly to my scalp like 2x a week, kinda like back when people used to "oil their scalps"!!!

I usually get .5in a month and so far this last month (i got my relaxer on October 3rd) I'm at 3/4in and I only started using mn for the last half....and not consistantly either. I think I probably applied it 4 or 5 times still so it does work

i am so slllllllllooooooww on this one. I picked this up and it was love at first sniff. The mink oil is what caught my eye.

I just made a new concoction with this stuff by adding mn, red palm butter, hempseed butter, coconut oil, a dash of wonder 8 oils, Black castor oil and a dab of tea tree oil. ( I think I'm forgetting something but I was having so much fun playing mad scientist.

I zapped it in the microwave to warm it, mixed it with my little portable hand mixer and let it solidify into my wonder grease. I may remelt it to add my new rosemary and peppermint oils. I apply to my scalp and you only need a baby dab. I used mn to jumpstart my hair growth when I was in resting stage and it keeps the itchies away

I suck at meausering but I am about 4 weeks post and my new growth is thicker than I have ever had at 4 weeks before this last relaxer I was at 6 weeks and really had nothing, I plan on stretching from 6 weeks to 10 weeks this time but I may have to stop using MN in a minute because I don't know what to do with this new growth!
