What have you ladies found to be the best way to grow out a bad texlax? I'm thinking what I will do is STRETCH for close to a year or so, wear my protective styles (gonna post a pic of my headwrap one day, if i keep wearing these people gonna think im muslim!!) n-e-whoo, not gonna BC my SO will kill me, plus if i dont BC and I want to wear it straight one day I just have to get a blow out or something and ill still have my length!! then when it gets to a length that I like (mid back or waist length) get a COMPETENT person to texlax me so it all comes out EVEN!! Because as it stands now the front is almost completely straight and the back is perfect spiral curls!!! I dont know what the stylist was doing. At a touchup:She says do you want some of the curl taken out the back? I say NO, what does she do?? run the relaxer through again anyway (luckily too much curl didnt get taken out the back!! but the front ended up even straighter!!! SO I say remember the front processes way faster than the back (have no idea why!!) where does she start?? in the front!! so I was wondering what you ladies think is the best way to grow out an uneven texlax?

It might not have been the stylist. Your hair could be two different textures which could explain why some of it came out looser. The processing time would need to be adjusted to accomodate that. Just a thought...

Oh yeah I know. the front of my hair processes faster, i don't know why. no but i told her at the touchup and she was still trying to "take out curl" like she wasn't getting the point of texlaxed!! Also Whimsy's stylist (take a look at her fotki) somehow knew to begin in the back in her head!! That's the competent stylist I plan on going to when I grow this out!! I mean i told her when she did a corrective (from when I messed it up first!) and I told her when she did the touchup. She still started in the front and she still smoothed it through, trying to take out curl after I told her no. But then again it's my fault because when your stylist is always asking another stylist questions, it should be time to go, i just dont like putting people on the spot!!!

Yeah, you probably need to go to somebody who specializes in texturizing. Most stylists just don't know how to do it properly. It's hard to relax to the same pattern every time as it is. And beauty schools teach people to relax hair straight.

Probably, especially if you're a brand new stylist. yeah ill just stretch until i have the time and money to go to an experienced professional!! I'll just dc, moisturize, and let it grow until i'm ready to try again!! Until then I'll just get it blown out to check the length
