I wouldn't.....then again I dont pre-poo. But the purpose of clarifying is to wash everything away that conditioning shampoo cant, so why whould you? Wouldn't make since to me.

No Expert but....

Its clarifying intended to strip the hair of all buildup.
Pre-poo goes right with it.

Try an oil rinse before your conditioner.

Why would you wash twice? Or why would you was with a moisturizing the strip it all away with the clarifyer? Waste of product. Does not make sense to me:spinning:. Just clarify, then condition/Deep condition.

I've been wondering also. I clarified the other day and I put conditioner on my ends beforehand, but I'm not sure if that was right. I was thinking that I should prepoo at least the last few inches of my hair for protection from the sulfates. :perplexed

After I clarified I washed with a sulfate-free moisturizing shampoo and I did a moisturizing DC, so I guess I didn't need to prepoo. :ohwell: :look:

You dont wash twice. DO the oil rinse then conditioner and thats it.

I usually clarify before prepooing. I know that prepooing on dry hair is great but prepooing on damp hair is good too. I only do this when my hair NEEDS clarifying.

I agree with the other ladies that clarifying after pre-pooing just doesn't sound like it's beneficial to the hair. You are washing the benefits away.

When my purpose for washing is to clarify my hair, I do NOT put oils and conditioners on it beforehand. I use Nexxus Aloe Rid and shampoo 2 times. Then I oil rinse, apply my DC with heat for 30 min to 1 hour, rinse, apply leave-ins and roller set. Works for me!

For all my other washes, though, I prepoo with a tiny amount of protein (ORS mayonnaise or Motions CPR mixed with humectress, oil, and honey) and heat for about 30 minutes. I actually LOVE my prepoos!
