I JUST REMEMBERED THIS WHILE POSTING ON THE OTHER THREAD. MY DAUGHTER SECRETLY RELAXED HER HAIR LAST YEAR ON HER OWN. AND SEVERELY DAMAGED IT. TO THE POINT OF MY SHEDDING OF TEARS NOT KNOWING IF SHE WAS GOING TO LOSE THE WHOLE FRONT HALF OF HER HAIR. I DIDNT POST IT HERE BACK THEN BUT I DID ON MY 360 BLOG

HERE IS THE SLIDE SHOW OF HER HAIR AFTER SHE RELAXED AND SEVERAL DAYS OF ME WORKING ON IT TO SAVE IT

NOW I DID ALOT OF WORK ON HER HAIR

BUT I REMEMBER CLEARLY INCORPORTATING THE 'OIL RINSING/WASHING' ON HER STRAW LIKE HAIR THAT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO SNAP OFF. I HAD TO WORK ON IT DAILY. BUT I KNOW IT IN A LARGE PART IS WHAT HELPED TO SAVE HER HAIR

WOW, i couldnt see the blogs, but her hair looked good on your slideshow. Im glad you got it back together. I know that was devestating.

I have some dry hair and if you said your daughter had strawlike brittle hair i really have to stick to this faithfully.

Did you use your method with macadamia nut oil and pouring it on their and squeezing it out w/no water inbetween washings?

ETA----Your daughter (or you) have no reason to even relax! OMG! did she get a box relaxer from the store and do all of her hair with it? Is she transitioning back or are you teaching her how to take care of her relaxed hair?

I think I used Olive Oil on her hair it was so long ago no telling how many oils i used. I did them frequent before I left her on her own once her hair felt ok again. Her hair was way overprocessed. I probably did it all kind of ways too

Hey Queen Avocado Butter! Good to see ya back!

What in samhell was your daughter thinking? She had some gorgeous hair like her mama. How in the world did she get up the nerve to tell you? I would have been like this :hide: Glad everything is turning out ok and she has learned her lesson from all this.

Thank you so much for sharing this, because I'll now be more aware of my daughter's hints about what she thinks about her hair, and I can share your daughter's experience with her. Thank goodness her experience had a happy ending....close, scary call that she can learn from and smile about when she's a mom! :yep:
