What is the best "heating appliance" to use when trying to straigten your hair? I can't do it, yet (in a challenge), but when I complete this challenge, I for sure want to see where I am at. Cermaic hot comb, cermaic flat iron, chi iron????

FOR CULRY HEADS: When you straighten, what do you use to make sure that you don't lose curl def. afterwards? What heat protectant and appliance??

I'd say a ceramic flat iron. Rollerset first if you can.

Ditto. I do this rollerset then flat iron roots...
I never ever ever use the flat iron on my ends,
it's not necessary if you've rollerset properly.

I think for some naturals it might be. My ends don't get all the way straight with a rollerset. The roots nor the ends do but the rest does.
