Check it out. I used 3 packs of the Marley Braid hair in 1b. And it took me about 6.5 hours. They could be neater but it turned out okay considering I didn't know what I was doing. I'm gonna try and keep these in for a month and then maybe I'll take them down and do it again. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I got a compliment today too. Here's some pictures:

Very cute! Especially for a first timer! :yep: I wish I had the patience or courage to try it. They look great. Good job!

wow they look awesome. I so wish I could get these again but that that kinky hair completely zapped the moisture out of my hair no matter how much i kept my hair sprayed and oiled:ohwell:

Thanks ladies! Oh lord you're scaring me :look: Let's just hope they don't do that to my hair. :ohwell:

Dont be worried. I think maybe it was the brand that I had them used. It was that wooly/hard type of hair. I originally wanted hair that was closer to my hair type but I never found it:ohwell: It didnt damage my hair but it took about 3 deep conditioning sessions to soften it up again.

Oh okay. This hair looked pretty close to mines in the pack and didn't feel too rough or dry. I stood there in the store forever looking at hair before I picked one. And I bought weave hair too so if this didn't work out, I was gonna have a straight hair short bob instead. I might just do that anyway when I take these out. This girl's haircut I saw the other day looked so good that I was tempted to try it.

Bmore, you did a great job...it doesn't look like a first timer at all. I'd like to try these one day and I hope my first time comes out as good as yours.

Wow, you've done really well!!! I admire anyone whotakes out time to braid their own hair!! Am far too lazy for that :)!
