I am thinking about buying the mizani butterblend system with the mild relaxer. Any updates with how it is working for you? I don't think I am going to use the microconditioning spray afterwards. I think I am going to deep condition with aveda DR, joico kpak moisture treatment, or ors replenishing conditioner instead.

I used the Mizani butterblends mild and it left me severly underprocessed. My whole head was frizzy. I waited six weeks(couldn't wait any longer) and went back to my tried and true Optimum no-lye. I'm slowly getting my shine and bounce back. However, my mom's hair loves it. Weird huh? Different strokes for different folks.

I am sorry it didn't work for you. I know how a bad relaxer can take some time too fix. I really want to try it because of all of the comprehensive steps but I know I can use other products as well. The container is just so pretty:lachen:

It left me underprocessed as well..I even did a corrective about a week later and my roots still felt wavy....I wont be using it again. It is not worth the money IMO.

Thanks Marie.....I was really excited about this one. I liked how it had a pre-treatment but I guess I can always use conditioner(I take it that is what it was anyway). Maybe I will try elucence or ORS again.

yeah you can easily pre-treat with conditioner...but maybe you should just go ahead and try it. I have read where some people like so it may work out for you. BTW I used to use Elucence and loved it..I just am tired of ordering stuff online and hoping I can find it, etc...I just want to be able to go and purchase the relaxer without any hassles...do you use ORS lye or no lye?

I used ORS lye. I used this to do a corrective and it worked well. I might use it again. I really want a complete line for my relaxers. The only thing holding me back from Elucence is the fact that I have to order it. Who knows? I might give the mizani butterblend a try. I like the regular mizani stuff.
