I have been a member of LHCF for over a year now and when I started practicing different methods such as co washing everyday in the summer, stretching my relaxers, not combing my hair, taking vitamins, washing my hair at least once a week, adding honey to conditioners and more all people would say is "your hair is gonna fall out" especially because I prefer to do my hair myself and I would just nod and keep doing what I have been doing. Before LHCF my hair would not pass my shoulder, was so dry that it would fall out with the slightest touch, the hair dresser I went to always wanted to clip my ends because she said it was "too dry." That dryness which I have learned through LHCF can easily be cured with moisture did not need scissors to fix it. Sorry if im rambling I just got to thinking about the difference in the health of my hair.
Please feel free to share your before and after LHCF stories ladies.

People tell me this day in and day out. When I prepoo, DC for a long time my roomie is like what the hec are you doing? I'm like mind your own!

i feel the same way: i get the questions: like wat is that covering ur ponytail? (its the baggie) and i don't wanna rudely say nunya: but i have notice u do get attention in ur direction towards the way u still ur hair: more so on the diff. types of protective styles.

My roomies too: they have they comments but they all ask to use my hair care products wen they need something...
...now i feel as though I have to hide my "good stuff" becuz my roomie doesn't understand our term "less is more". She used the amount i would have used in 2 months in 1 day  they'll learn one day that its not the products

My sisters picked on me for coming here and now they come to my place to raid my product stash. It really makes me feel good inside to know that I was right all along. My hair has come so far and I did it by myself.

i kno: i feel the opposite: i get mad: like u gonna play me then u all up in my product stash

Everyone in my family told me my hair was going to all fall out, and I actually started to get scared of henna and things. Then I remembered that none of them, besides my mom (the only natural) ever had beyond shoulder length hair and my hair was a fewn inches longer than any of theirs had ever been. Now I know that my thinking was backwards (listening to people with no hair, as opposed to you all on here with hair) and I just keep doing what I'm doing. When I go home in December my hair should be an inch or two past full APL and I cant wait :yay:

:lachen::lachen:...and they are ALWAYS the ones with somethin' to say, huh?!

I get this especially when I do daily conditioner washes. I hear the same "Your hair is gonna fall out" and it's to the point where I'm like listen jacka$$ you've seen me do this consecutively for the past 4 months and nothing has happened.

But wait to top it off, these are the same people who will tell me how healthy my hair looks :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Before I starting looking at the posts on the board I had a goal to grow my hair back to mid back length.

I had hair that long in my youth and I remembered that it use toget curly when I wet it.

My family and friends thought I was insane when I decided not to relax during the summers and started conditioner washing. They would roll their eyes when I would read the ingredients on products. They cracked up laughing when I decided to only relax four times a year.

Now I see my length and the condition of my hair ... and I see who had the last laugh.

LOl yes! My sister (the long haired he$$a in my fotki) was like that. When I was moisturizing and sealing daily she said you are doing too much your hair looks greasy. I said touch it, she did and was like well I like mine to look more sleek and airy when the sindow blows. She thought I had lost my mind when I went to JC Penneys to pay that much for the Chi Silk Infusion. I was a loney bird for raiding the Walgreens clearance section when they had NTM serum there. BUT, the other day she told me she had to starighten her hair bc she was worried mine had caught up with hers:rolleyes: Then, she goes "I used some of the NTM serum you had and I really like that stuff." Mind you she called me from the store to ask what was that stuff you used to thicken up your edges? (MN)..too funny but I love it! She still finds a way to give advice on something. She laughed at my New Domincan 11en1 until I explained what all the ingredients do..... then she was trying to get a small jar to ciphon some of it.
