. . . but then chicken out and run and get a perm? *lol*

I do not intend to go natural, but after 11 weeks of stretching I'm looking at my edges like DAYUM . . . good thing I don't want to go natural because I really don't think I could do it . . .

well... i wasn't trying to go natural back in the day, but i'd go without touch-ups all summer and wash and go (no straightening cuz it was humid and i swam frequently). right before school would start, i remember seeing my wiggly-looking new growth and thinking, "man this looks funky, i can't wait to get it permed!"

i wasn't really in the mindframe of being natural back then so, all that mattered to me was that the textures didn't match... :look:

me! I really wanted to earlier this yr. Then, Michigans' crazy weather kicked in and I said nope...not gonna be able to do it. I rationalize that because I am texlaxed it is ok...

I'm going natural now... 8 months into my transition.
It's super easy... my motivation to keep going is
I think it's a healthier lifestyle choice plus I love the
versatility of natural hair, my new growth is thicker,
silkier, my relaxed ends pale in comparison to my
natural roots... and if I want it straight...
I have a CHI... so no big deal-i-o.

I did. I think I got to about 5 or 6 months post, and just couldn't handle it. I was still "thinking relaxed", so I wasn't ready for what my hair was doing/about to do. I think I'm going to try again in 08.

I want to Transition now at 4 months post. The creamy crack is calling my name for November. Im trying to puush for December now (TRYING HARD)

i think what you said here is important. it's a MENTAL transition as well. :yep:

I tried to go natural a few years ago. I went over a year without a relaxer and was transitioning with braids. I couldn't deal with the new growth anymore and I had problems combing it so I ended up relaxing. My new growth was dry so that made it challenging to work with. If I kept my hair moisturized and deep conditioned regularly, I believe I would've successfully transitioned to being natural.
