I got the big, bright idea that I would give rollersetting my hair another try after doing so unsuccessfully eons ago. I didn't have enough of the same kind of rollers so I had to use some others. I felt so relieved when I was done b/c my arms and fingers were aching, and still are. It took me 3 hours!!!

Now, I'm ready to airdry while I sleep. I grabbed my satin bonnet to put over my rollers when I see that there is no way that it's going to fit. So, I try larger ones, du-rags and even a big scarf and NONE of them are big enough. :wallbash: Well, I guess that I'll be going to sleep like this and praying that the rollers don't come out of my hair. I'll let you all know how it turns out on tomorrow.

I feel your pain. I was trying to learn how to rollerset and between washing, using protein, DC and rollersetting, it took me forever! Rollersets when starting out are definently a job! But your hair should turn out well!

How long did it take you to get the hang of it? Sadly, the 3 hours was actual rollersetting time for me. :ohwell: I hope that you're right about it turning out well b/c I want to let my hair down tomorrow.

Wow-all that hair-I'm surprised you got away with only three hours. I just know it's gonna be pretty:yep:

I was think the exact same thing. 3 hours sounds like a deal for that awesomely fabulous hair of yours. :yep: Sorry about the bonnet tho. That's gotta be frustrating. :wallbash:

I checked and it's still damp. So, I had to pull out my Ion Soft Bonnet Dryer. I just knew that I would be able to get that on my head w/ no problems, but I was wrong. I had to fight to get it on and all of the rollers won't go under it. Dagnabbit! :wallbash:

Awww.... thanks! ;) I was so disappointed b/c I thought that it was supposed to take me around 30 min. It looks like these rollers don't want to fit under anything and it is frustrating, but I'll have to improvise.

Wow three hours? I dont think I would have the patience so kudos to you! cant wait to see the pictures!

I was asked at the last minute this morning to go somewhere w/ a family member. I didn't even get to dry my hair completely. :ohwell: My hair on the sides did dry and came out great, but down the center was another matter. :( It ended up still being wavy and looking weird b/c it was very damp down the center. I didn't have time to play w/ it like I wanted to and ended up putting it up. IDK how to wrap it, but I'm going to give it a try, tonight.

Thanks for the kudos. :) I pray that I can cut that time in half the next time, b/c it did a number on my arms and fingers. Trust me, you wouldn't have wanted to see pics of my rollerset hair. :nono:

It took me about 4 times to get my rollersetting down to about 45 minutes. But your hair is so long so its expected that your hair would take a long time to rollerset.

When I first started out, it took me a long time too. I bought an extra-large silk bonnet from Tenderheaded.com which fit over my extra large rollers. This way I felt good airdrying overnight.
Also, I have the nylon, net triangle made for those of us who rollerset. It's big and holds the rollers in place for under $2.00. I haven't worn that by itself to bed but I have worn it over my silk or satin bonnets. :)

Thanks for the info and the link. ;) I'll check that out and look for a larger bonnet and the net that you mentioned. I sounds like I can look forward to my rollersetting time getting better.
