I think it's ok as long as you use a gentle one and are careful of the ends, which will already be a little dry and weaker from the rinsing out of the relaxer. Just make sure that you put a good conditioner back in. Maybe deep condition even.

OK, I have Suave Clarifying shampoo... I just got my relaxer on Thursday and I was using too much protein before that so now I need some moisture in my hair... what type of shampoo could I use? Or could I just deep condition with my deep moisturizing conditioner? will it still moisturize my hair if I go under the dryer with it for an half hour?

I see no problem with Clarifying now. There are many here that does clarify a couple of days after a relaxer to insure that all traces of relaxer has been washed out. You can't wash a relaxer out once it is in

OK, I trimmed my hair, and did a Clarifying poo with Sauve, moisturizing poo with Shea-Moisturizing poo, and I am deep conditioning now with Motions Moisture-plus under the dryer with heat for 20 minutes, and I will rinse and detangle under the shower in about an hour, then use my leave-in then roller set, and get under the dryer using cool air, until it is dry, I don't want to sleep in roller causing unnecessary pulling at my already breaking hair. I will then comb it out, moisturize and seal with oil and pin curl and sleep with a satin cap and then no more combing until next wash day... I hope this works... I will moisturize it whenever it feels dry and seal after wards with oil... I did notice just a slight decrease in breakage this morning, so I am hoping this will work... I will repeat the moisturizing with heat in about four days until the moisture returns in hair...

Thanks Ladies for all your input... I will keep you posted on this train wreck I have going on over here...:lachen: :wallbash:

i am using Garnier Fructress Sleek and Shiny and I will be using Cantu Moisturizer, sealing with a mixture of BJCO and water...

I did the clarify already with Sauve:look:, followed up with my moisturizing poo and deep conditioned for an half hour under the dryer and then let it sit for another half an hour, rinsed and roller set... Everything seems OK so far, no hair in comb from roller set... I am under the dryer now and will dry about 80% and air dry the rest of the way... I will see what happens later tonight about 8:00 when I take them out and then moisturize and pin curl for the night... My hair feels real good and my ends looked really good from the trim... Oh Boy... Thanks for the support!

My bad....saw that you already did it:look:. Glad it worked out for you!

Thanks, It seemed to work out OK though... On my next trip to the BSS I will pick up a bottle on poo to use after getting a relaxer...

Thanks for responding and the help:grin:...
