My back has been breaking out like CRAZY....pimples and blackheads...ewwww!

What's going on? Do you think it's my hair -- all the washing, concoctions? Or is it the freaking BIOTIN?!

Anyone going through this? How can I get rid of them:help:

I got a couple pimples on my butt when I was taking biotin, but it was only temporary. After a couple weeks they went away and never came back.

If you think it is the biotin, cut your dose in half, drink and extra glass of water and use a acne wash on your back. If they start to go away, keep doing the half dose for another week or so and slowly build back up.

The culprit could also be washing your hair in the shower (if you do that).

That is true too. Come to think of it, is your face breaking out. Usually biotin breakouts happen on your face too because overall oil production goes up. The residue from products remaining on your back could be doing it. I was my hair in the shower and I don't wash my body until I get back in to rinse out my conditioner. I rinse all the conditioner out and then I was my body and face.

Oil rinses should definitely be confined to washing in the sink if you're sensitive to extra oil.

Ladies, you're awesome. You all hit it on the head! I do all the above

* Use Sulfur (BT) and heavy oils (Castor oil)

* Take 10,000mcg of Biotin and my water intake decreased when school started. My face breaks out often but my skin care lady zaps them as they come out. But I still have annoying little bumps.

* I ALWAYS wash my hair in the shower. I read somewhere that it's bad bending over to wash your hair. Cant remember why. Also, this is how I wash -- poo, instant CON, take shower while CON is in hair, wash out & DC. THAT'S WHY I'M BREAKING OUT! All the products I leave on my back.

I love you guys :drunk:

I used to break out a lot in on my back, couldn't figure out why. I am much Much clearer now that I :

Wash and condition hair; wash body while conditioning (shave legs and sand feet, all that jazz) then rinse out conditioner, put a towel over it to control drip; then re-wash my back area (including butt). I will use Dove or a salycilic acid wash. I get out, cover up with a towel, and am sure to have on either a tee shirt or towel around the shoulders before I let my hair out.

This will help out A LOT.

I get this as well unfortunately...and it's driving me nuts :perplexed

I hate taking medication for anything, but it's been so persistent I think it may be the only alternative.

I wash my hair in the shower as well, but always wash hair then body. I've been using a alpha hydroxy acid wash on the area, but this bacne is very persistent. :wallbash:

Gotcha! I think to make things easier I'll invest in a bath robe. B/c I spend a lot of time walking around my apt with a towel while my hair is conditioning. Or I'm wearing a towel as I apply my leave-in & rollerset my hair.

Mysmallbiz, you should try nature's cure spray for back acne. That helped me a few years ago when I had break-outs. I'm picking it up again. Patient1, a fellow member, also said taking the nature's cure acne pills (which you just chew) helped with her acne.

I will certainly look into getting this asap! Thanks so much! :yep:

I just talked to my twin about this. She said she cleared her back by using an antibacterial soap like DIAL. Which makes sense because acne is caused by BACTERIA.

I'm going to try Dial + the Spray

Dial, Irish Spring, Palmolive antibacterial do work. Dr. Woods PURE BLACK SOAP {LIQUID BOTTLE} should also clear up your back. Dr. Woods contains: water, saponified coconut, hemp, olive oils, glycerin, black soap concentrate, fragrance, vitamin E,sea salt, citric acid, panthenol, rosemary extract and caramel. I loved black soap bars when I used to be prone to breakouts, the Dr. Woods is already liquefied.
