Do you mean products or methods??
I just added to it...like at first I washed and DC once a week, then i added a pre-poo, then I changed it to twice a week, and then I added no manipulation, then I added moisturizeing twice a day and then instead of using coconut oil to seal I used JBCO

Hmmm...I've been natural for over 2 years now, and I'm pretty sure my regimen changed every season :lachen:.

I have pretty much kept the same regimen since I have joined. I have changed my daily moisturizing products three times.

I've changed my vitamin regimen a few times, but I've only recently changed my hair regimen. I'm trying for extremely low manipulation. So far it's working like a charm. :)

I would say about 3 times since Jan 06. When I was first growing it to BSL I would rollerset my hair once a week and wear a phony pony everyday then in September 06 the transitioning textures didn't match any phony pony so I changed it to wearing my own hair out in styles then when I went natural I completely switched and cut out shampoo and cowash everyday. I plan on changing it again starting next week cuz I'm moving from NY to TX and won't have time for all the extra attention I pay to my hair.

This was my question, too.

In any event...

...methods: I was shampooing and conditioning once every seven days. At the moment, I shampoo and condition every four days. I also use a protein treatment every three shampoos, and am set up for a deep conditioning appointment at the salon in about two weeks. I have actually slacked on the protein treatments, and my salon conditioning treatment on 8/20/07 was the first in over two years. In 2004-2005, I received steam conditioning treatments four weeks post-relaxer touch up.

Re: products: When I joined LHCF in 2003, I was using Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I then migrated to Keracare products, and then to the Mizani line. I have recently returned to Kenra. I am not using products containing mineral oil, petrolatum, or lanolin at the present time, or shampoos with SLS or ALS.

I have changed my regimen again and again and again. I couldn't find products that my hair liked. Then I was introduced to Keracare, Garnier Fructis, and VO5 and it's been love and consistency ever since.

Two words.....A LOT!

But one thing has been a constant I have done 90% of the time protective styles. It is the products and the number of times I use them per week that has done a change so much that it is just too ridiculous to even discuss.

I must admit though that this year I seem to have dealt with the same products on a regular basis than I have in the past few years.

Over 150 times!

ETA: I just noticed that this is my 13,000th post!!!! WOW! :Blush2:

I change my products almost every month sometimes every week depending on what I bought or wanted to try. My regimen stays pretty consistent when I pick one but the products change very often.

About 1234978123409781234097813240978 times.

I change my regimen everytime I get fed up and frustrated. And then I get over it. And then I get fed up and frustrated and change my regimen. And then I get over it.

And the funny thing is, no matter what I change to - I tend to go back to basically what was my original regimen.

I'm a 4abcdefg natural - my regiment:
- Wash 2-3 times a week
- Wash with Hello Hydration Conditioner (I 'poo probably twice a month)
- Squeeze dry (no towel drying for me - it helps me maintain my curl pattern).
- Apply Organix Mango Curl Constructor Lotion (Leave-In COnditioner with some great oils).
- Apply some Fantasia IC Polisher (basically 'cones. I've used a lot of different brands from KMS to KeraCare and they all do essentially the same thing, they just smell different. The ingredients don't even vary).
- Apply Fantasia IC Gel with Sparkalites (the WHITE one, not the blue one. I've actually had more success with the one for normal hair - the one for color treated hair tends to make my hair dry) in 4 sections.

Shake my head.
GO!

I do miss the rollersets. I didn't sign up for LHCF until I decided to go natural and then all ya'll ladies started coming with the great wrap and roller-set tutorials and pictures. Makin a natural sister jealous. ;)
