You can try using some type of voluminous conditoner as your last conditioner....I used V05 one time and did a roller set and I turned out looking like Farrah Fawcett.hahahaha..it was cute though with alot of volume.

Not sure how you currently do your rollersets, but maybe larger rollers, rolled at 180 degrees... this is overdirected even higher than rolling up, and they sit very high up, resulting in more volume.

You should check out Macherieamour's written tutorial on rollerset. It's

this is copied from her blog:
Sidenote - I get the silkiest, bounciest and straightest by using just leave-in, serum and water.
I get the firmest curls when I use setting lotion (diluted or not)
I get the most hydrated set (but less bounce) when i use a moisturizer with my leave-in and serum.

I also know that smaller rollers create tighter curls, like someone mentioned. If you decide to blow out your roots afterward, i remember her mentioning that tauting the round brush straight back instead of straight up will create volume. You should check it out her blog. Well, hth.

I was going to mention the HealthyTextures site:yep:. I love it and she's about to do the DVD/Video for Rollersets now I believe. I can't wait for that one!

I recently did an airdried rollerset using VO5 conditioner as a leave-in, like marie170 mentioned. My hair was FULL of volume. Also, using too much product on the hair will weigh it down, robbing it of fullness. I try to use no more that a dime size of any styling product.

I would actually try smaller rollers...maybe the red ones?

I agree with this. The red magnetic rollers give me more volume and a fuller look because of the tighter curl. The purple rollers which I normally use give me straight hair with body and swing.

roll up instead of rolling your hair under. that gives it more body and the less products you use the better. when i used to do mine after i washed and conditioned , i would keep them from drying by spraying watered down leave in conditioner throughout. the smaller the roller the tighter the curl. you can look at my fotki for example of rollerset. when i took the pic they were already old , but you get the point :)

Honii is correct. Larger rollers, in conjunction with being rolled overdirected (hair sections pulled forward), will give more volume. Also be sure not to weight the hair down with too much oils and product.

If its volume you want, it's volume your gonna get w/ Nexxus Mousse Plus (Alcohol free) volumizing foam styler. White can w/ gold top. You won't be able to contain your hair. Speaking from a fine stranded sister.
