What do you guys think of this style on me?

I think it would look great but I would be concerned with pulling at the front of the hairline.

Thanks ladies!

Dlewis- I hear you. That's another concern as well. My hairline definitley needs a break after these twists.

I don't know.:perplexed I'm tempted to finally try to make some clip in extensions.

I really want a nice style that doesn't make me look like I'm 12 the way these twists and the phony ponies do. I need something more sophisticated, LOL.

What about rollersetting.

I'm anti doing anything with my real hair right now, LOL.

I'm 4 months post relaxer and thinking about transitioning. Not to mention the humidity here has been off the chain! A curl wouldn't last 5 minutes!

I think it would be cute. You have a similar face shape as the woman in the picture and she looks good in it. But yeah....just make sure those braids/twists aren't too tight.

I agree with everyone else. I think that style would be adorable/sassy on you!

The only concern would be about the pulling on the hairline. If you can keep the stylist from pulling so tight you can't blink, go for it! Be sure to post pics if you do!

I like it! If you tie the cornrows down at night you'll be fine. You could probably get a month out of them.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to see how much they're gonna charge if it'll only last a month.

I try to go for styles that will last at least 2.

LOL. Girl, don't I know it!

I go to African braiders and they tend to braid too tight.

It's a cute style, you can always camouflage the front with a scarf headband if you wanna take it past the fresh look stage.

Oh yeah, if you plan on washing it frequently, you might be better off getting synthetic hair and getting some wet n wavy mousse. The curly/wavy human hairs from the BSS tend to mat and look ratty looking after the 2nd or 3rd wash.

I think that would be a cute style on you. Those cornrows would be done first so if they are pulling to hard you can say something right then and they should be able to alter their tight pulling. Also if they don't connect the cornrows to the weave, then it should be easy to get the front done every month or so....just have someone rebraid the front...

Very cute style......

Great advice from the resident weave diva!!!
:thankyou:

Girl those African braiders braid your thoughts
But they always seem to make the best braids, haven't tried them for weaves yet

:lachen::lachen::lachen:

For real!

I really like the spot I go to, they do great weaves AND braids. And they're so nice too! I used to go to one where they acted like you weren't even there, like you were some kind of non-entity.

That shop burned down when the Papa Gino's next to it caught on fire.:ohwell:

:lachen:So true. No wonder why I couldn't think with all that pain.

MzLady: That style would look really nice on you, with the right amount of tension of course.
