You could try some rollersets. If you get end paper, it helps to keep your hair together so that you can roll it with ease. Or try braids for protective styling.

This is what I would suggest. You have beautiful hair...looks healthy!

Once I stopped using heat regularly, my length and thickness improved greatly.

There are plenty of no-heat styles you can do on shorter hair.

I totally agree. Here is some encouragement and personal testimony, and my hair was airdried in both pics:

My hair went from this:

to this:

I totally contribute it to no heat and henna. Try it for just six months, I totally recommend it. Oh, and there are many airdried styles that can be maintained on short hair and still look cute.

woah, kiesha, that's really amazing. :yep: I've been blow-drying and flat-ironing once a month but i'm gonna try to not even do it that much!!

Beautiful progress! :)

Thanks Dsylla and dillard. Dsylla, I'm trying to get your thickness, and dillard, I'm tryin to get your shine! I'm trying hard to convince my sister to stop using heat, but she won't listen to me. The thing is, you don't have to stop using heat forever, just for maybe 6 months or so, and then once your hair recovers, just maintain with limited heat (like once a month thereafter). Isn't there any challenges that go for six months with no direct heat?

Have you tried pincurling at night? This will give you some curl & body. HTH

I LOVE pincurling after flat ironing. Well, loved, because I've cut out hear for the last month. It made my hair so bouncy and made for wasy styling inthe morning. Just take the pins out, shake, and go! I'm doing buns right now, but with my next roller set, I'll definitely pin curl at night to keep the style longer.

now that's some progress!!!

Try Caruso rollers. I'm using them right now an they are great. They set so quickly that you can easily bump your hair while you are getting ready in the morning. You can them right now for about $8 off at Sally's right now if you use the coupon on this site and the coupon at the store for this month.

I used the coupons and I saved $8:yep:. Soo...I payed about $20. I must say that I'm happy I purchased them. The first time I used them I was like:wow:

Wow! That is really inspiring! That's what you had after 6 months with no heat?
