Bumping. I thought JLove was going to post her regimen... :look:

I'm sorry ladies. For some reason, I thought I'd posed it already.:confused: Having a semi-senior moment:lol:

Here you go:) If you have any additional questions or need clarification, just lemme know.....

Hair Care Regimen

WEEKLY:
Pre-Condition
I alternate between: Coconut, Monoi, Jojoba Oil or Phytosepecifc Revitalizing Treatment oil. I do this anywhere from a day to 30 min before I wash. 30 min before I wash, I put on a cap and dip my turbie twist in hot water, ring out the water and put it on. This really intinsifies the treatments.

Shampoo in the shower (never in the kitchen sink!!!)
* I use Creme Aveda Damage Remedy or Smooth Infusion
* Clarify with Aveda Detoxify once a month to remove build up

Deep condition hair for 45 minutes
I rotate between the following
* Aveda Damage Remedy (Intensive Restructuring Treatment)
* Aveda Smooth Infusion
* Alter Ego Hot Garlic Treatment (once a month to keep shedding under control)

Back in the shower to let the running water assist in detangling. I use a Denman D5 brush and a wide tooth comb.

Leave-In (apply a nickel to quarter size amount):
Alternate between:
* Aveda Hang Straight
* Aveda Elixir

Seal the ends with any oil I have on hand (just a small amount)

Next:
* I rollerset sit under dryer for 45 min. At my favorite Dominican Salon. I get too lazy to do it myself
or
* If I'm going to blow-dry, I put my hair in braids, apply Aveda Anti-Humectant pomade on the edges and use my favorite doo-rag to get the edges to lay flat. I let it airdry at least 85-90%. Spray Chi heat protectant and a bit of Chi Silk Fusion and blow dry on medium heat using round brush.

Flat iron, passing only once through the hair and set on Vidal Sassoon Ionic Steam Rollers (or I bump the ends with a curling iron). I only use heat once a week - flat-iron after blow drying or only blow roots after rollerset & use steam rollers or flexi-rods at night to maintain curls.

At night, I either put my hair in a high ponytail or roll with flexi rods. In the morning I take down the rollers finger comb.

If I need additional moisturizer during the week, I'll use a small amount of mango butter or Vita Pointe cream.

Relaxer

For the past 5 years or so, I've used PhytoSpecific Relaxer. I usually I do a touch-up every 3-4 months, but as of November 2nd, 2006 I had my last touch-up and I'm not quite sure if/when I will do it again. I've longed to see my natural texture, but in the past have thought that it would be too much work keeping it up and just the uncertainty of not knowing what my natural texture would look like.

JLove - Ok this is the third time but I can't help it :love::love:your hair

Yankgal, I have a reg and I'll post it as soon as I put it into words. With regards to my stretch, I'm still asking myself how I'm able to go so long, but one saving grace are my weekly trips to the salon for rollersets and my beloved Aveda DR and Smooth Infusion:)
