Love and Harmony

I watched this video and decided to purchase and try it for myself. Well, this tool really really straightened my hair. It is quite impressive. My hair is straighter than blowdrying but not quite bone straight like flat ironing. It only took about 20 minutes to do my whole head on 410 degrees. Surprised I couldn't find any threads on this wonderful tool lol

I only watched a couple of minutes so forgive me if this spelled out in the video. You're air drying your hair first? Are you putting oil or a leavein in the reservoir or is it just water?

I used it on mostly dry hair with heat protectant. Only distilled water in the reservoir. It's a game changer for me.

Giiiirrrrl, this tool is perfect for me. I don't straighten that often. It's so easy and fast. I was blown away by how well it straightened my hair. I'm 3c/4a.
How was our hair dried? In twist, or blow dried! I have this and it's been sitting in the box.. do you think someone with relaxed hair can use it?
My daughter has your hair texture. It's fine, but highly dense. I bought it for her, since she really wants to wear her hair straighten. If I wanted to Silk press her hair, would blow drying it first be better?

That's my concern.

@grownwomanaz, Have you had a chance to wash your hair and survey it for any damage? Did it revert back fully and easily? Loosen any curls?

Also, did you use any heating tools aside from the steamer in the pic?

I think your hair looks good and I'm 4a with some 3c but wear my hair natural 99.9% of the time. Keeping my coils is very important.

I agree that this device could be a game changer. I know I have a lot of questions. Thanks in advance!

Am I going to have to worry about potential heat damage?

No lie, I was on Sally's website less than 3 mins ago looking at this, then I came in here and see there's a thread.

I air dried my twists over night. You don't need to blow dry first just detangle and use heat protectant. It is very easy. I used it on 410 degrees the first time but turned down to 375 for the second time. It still got straightish.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use it on relexed...probably get even straighter.

My hair reverted back. I only used the the steam brush in the pony pic.
