How Not To Bleach Your Hair (natural Hair )

So did her hair get straight like that from the amount of time she kept the bleach on? I stopped watching after all the sniffling.

As far as the color, at the 2:46 mark her hair was already yellow and she let it sit for another 15 minutes. Why? Not everyone can be a DIYer.
 
In more recent videos it looks like she cut some of the damage off and some of her curl pattern recovered, but it still looks like a packet of sad ramen noodles. I've been lightening hair in my bathroom since high school. It's really not as hard as it looks, but even in her voice over she was still giving wrong coloring advice. 10 developer doesn't lift color, it just opens the cuticles and is used for depositing color. You need at least 20 to lift. 40 developer isn't "bad" per se, but since her hair was already color treated, she should have used 20-30 and rinsed it out in 10-15 minutes if not sooner! I know she was trying to remove the red, but there's a better way! I really felt for her towards the end, but she should have done more research.
