Miss: APB's Not Petroleum Jelly
Smells great, wonderful texture. I knew beeswax didn't agree with my hair but I tried. The only reason I'm not going to clarify is because I am getting my hair done tomorrow but my hair is very dry. Throw in the coconut oil that's in it and my hair is suffering big time.

I will definitely use it on my body in the cooler months.

Miss Miss Miss:
belnouvo Avocado & Shea Healthy Mair Milk
Bel Nouvo Coco Castor Pudding
My hair looked nice but felt turrible smh
and now I have to shampoo my hair again to get this crap out. *sigh*

Man, that Coco Castor Pudding dried my hair something serious. That's when I came to the conclusion that anything wax based does not agree with my hair. The Avocado and Shea Hair Milk worked really well on dry hair but sucked as a leave in or on damp/wet hair.

Still liking the results from the Design Essentials refresher spray and creme so much so that I want to get the rest of the line.

Continued Hits:
Loc'd Hair (Best thing I could have ever done for my hair)
Dudu Osum Herbal Shampoo
Aloe Vera Leaf Gel

New Hits:
Taliah Waajid Stimulating Herbal Cleanser (I love the tingle)
Nature's Gate Tea Tree Conditioner

Hits:
Oyin Hair Dew. HG leave-in and moisturizer. I love the smell.

Soultanicals Hair Sorrell Kink Drink. This stuff is AMAZING. I use it as my L in my variation of the LOC method. Excellent moisture and helps with detangling. I plan on stocking up during her next sale.

Soultanicals Power to the Prepoo. This is a nice blend of oils with a touch of manuka honey. It is amazing to use over my DCs, for oil rinsing, and to prepoo. Really been enjoying this one.

EVOO. I took this out of my regimen when I was texlaxed and while transitioning because it made my hair greasy and dry. Now that I am natural, my hair loves it again. It softens my hair and adds incredible shine.

Middle of the Road:
Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Hair Mask. It was just okay. Nothing earth-shattering. I actually gave the rest away.

Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Shampoo. Again, it isn't terrible. I just wish I could find a shampoo that leaves my hair soft yet clean. This one will do for now.

Misses:
Soultanicals shipping. I would have thought she would have gotten it together by now.

Soultanicals Knot Sauce. Excellent slip but not a lot of moisture. I tried it as a leave-in and my hair didn't care for it. No softness at all. I use it to prepoo to remove tangles before washing. Will not repurchase.

Shea Moisture only selling the Purification Mask online.

Miss
SM JBCO Leave in conditioner & Masque - love the slip but too much protein & not enough moisture for me.

Kinky-Curly Knot Today - it congeals on application even when diluted.

The “gentrification" of products traditionally used by people of color - retail prices of cocoa butter, castor oil, black seed oil, coconut oil,NH/SM, etc. have skyrocketed because of this.

Hits
Oyin Handmade Whipped Shea Butter - it sinks into my scalp, hair & body with no greasy feel

PBN Cupuaçu Hair Butter - same results as OH

Pure Black Seed Oil - very soothing to the skin, non acnegenic & quickly absorbed by hair & scalp.

On the Fence
PBN Sapote Hair Lotion - not enough slip; dries dull & sticky when used alone. Fantastic mixed with KCCC, KCNT, SM Raw SheaButter milk, conditioner & detangler

@Bibliophile Nice Review of the SM JBCO Masque. I have this. Good to know.

Totally Agreed about the 'gentrification' of black ingredients. You can't turn on the TV w/o seeing Garnier or somebody saying they have Argan, Shea, Coconut nowadays.

I think you may like PBN Murumuru better than the Sapote. After I finished up the Sapote lotion, I never looked back. Definitely give the Murumuru a shot if you haven't already.

Now...PBN's Sapote Oil was excellent, but always OOS (for some reason).

Continued Hit
Xtreme Wetline Gel, smooth application, heavy enough to elongate my curls and softness as it dries.

Sort of a Hit
Jakeala Dope Deep Conditioner, smooth application, sunk in immediately, soft hair after rinsing. , It wasn't an amazing hit but a hit. A second use will see if its a continued purchase.

New Hit

Slippery Elm, Honey powder, and Aloe vera juice added to clay. Smooth application and rinsed out very easy.

Sweet Soul Magic Curl Stimulator Gel, gooey, sticky application that works well with wet hair. Will see how it dries today and acts tomorrow.

@ IDareT'sHair
Yes, SM JBCO line is protein heavy for my hair. The slip had me fooled.

Re gentrification: At my nearest bss they now display that stuff behind the counter (even black soap) with a 50% markup. At my co-op the white patrons are preaching the virtues of ABS, black seed etc. Now the price of 4oz black seed oil went from $7 to $20USD! I'm doing this to them in my head::handslap:
Pendejos, enjoy the stuff but keep it on the low-low/stop snitching! We can't have anything without y'all messing things up!

I was hoping the PBN lotions can be an unscented alternative to OH Hair Dew. I have the PBN Murumuru Hair Lotion. I'll try it next. Anita Grant's Sapote oil is on my covet list; but the price is

HIIIIIIIIITS:

SSI moisturizers. Coconut Quench, Buriti Hair Milk and Cranberry Cocktail. All of them are now holy grails. My thirsty naps have never been as soft and moisturized as they have been these past few days. Putting them on damp hair, especially the Cranberry... Jeebus. Words can't describe how fantastic it makes my hair feel. Instant softness. I think the Buriti is my favorite, though. But damn, these are are good a** moisturizers. Yes, I had to cuss. They are that f*ckin good.

I can't wait for the next SSI sale, cause I'm buying everythang.

New Hits
Carol's Daughter Monoi sulfate free shampoo - felt like a true shampoo but not in a stripped hair kind of way. Very effective at cleansing. Most sulfate free shampoos leave my hair feeling hydrated but not well cleansed. This did both - cleansed & hydrated.

KeraCare Natural Textures leave-in, buttercream & custard - the trio has my hair feeling smooth and hydrated. I picked up this layering idea from a YouTuber. I can see myself using the buttercream and custard by themselves but the leave-in seemed only ok as a stand alone product.

Miss:
Carol Daughter Black Vanilla Leave In.
I think it's scented water

Revisited hit:
Shea moisture Manuka Honey Masque.
Between this, the Superfriut and using Jakeala Honey Mask idk about trying new dcs. Just need work through my current stash.

ETA that's a lie. I want to try the SM JBCO Masque lol.

Continued hit:
Redken Color Magnetics Shampoo. One of the best otg sulfate free shampoos I've tried.

Hits: APB hair cream, pomade, Ayurvedic cream

On the fence: APB not easily broken conditioner it was just ok. I'll try it with heat next time.

Miss: wng using multiple products. I can't stand the feel of all those products in my hair.

Using the scalp invigorator with oils to massage my scalp. Not only does my scalp feel good but I'm noticing a positive change in my hair.

Continued hits
APB's LI and puddings[/QUOTE]

@curlyhersheygirl

How do you like the scalp invigorator? I bought one but forgot I had it! SMH!
