Learning how to finger detangle (lose way less hair)

Miss:
Finger detangling (very time consuming)

HITS
Instant Hit- Happy Nappy Honey's Pink Sugar Hibiscus Plant Deep Conditioner. I knew it as soon as I added it to my hair. It is super moisturizing and has great slip. I was able to detangle with it which is saying a lot with my hair. This dc will work with or without heat or steam. I'm extremely heavy handed and I barely used any so I will get a lot of uses out of the 16oz jar.

Instant hit-Happy Nappy Honey's Bentonite & Sea Clay Conditioning Mask. I knew it the first time I used it too. But I waited until I finished the jar. Again it works with or without heat. My hair was completely defined, coiled/curled to the end, with just wearing a plastic cap.

Happy Nappy Honey's Cherry Cocoa Moroccan Repairing Masque-I love how airy and whipped this conditioner is. Spreads so easily. I like the smell too.

Happy Nappy Honey's Vanilla Whipped Butter-I use this on my skin only. I like the consistency, the light scent, and it works for me. My skin is special :look:. Sunshine will always be first in my book when it comes to whipped shea butter but this can be a 2nd choice.

Revisited hit-Claudie's Renew Protein Conditioner. I've used it as a cowash and deep conditioner. My hair loves this stuff.

MISS
Happy Nappy Honey's Cherry Almond Tapioca Cowash Cleansing Cream-:nono:, that tapioca got this looking like spoiled milk, you know with chunks. It does cleanse my hair but I need to use a rinse out conditioner afterward. I don't like that. I want it to cleanse & moisturize. Not extra steps added to my routine. I am getting a lot of uses out of the 16 oz jar.

HIT (who knew?)
AVEDA Damage Remedy Treatment as a leave-in - two quarter-size dollops applied to wet hair. My hair is super soft and moisturized days later. It makes my moisturizer and styler product perform better. I've noticed less hair shed too since I started using it.

The AVEDA associate turned me on to it; he was a black male with blond kinky hair and it looked fabulous! He said he uses the DR and the Brilliant Humectant pomade. He was right!

APB Leave In on my puff

I swear, I did not lose as much hair and it was so moisturized. I was really scared that my puff would be tangly once I detangled, but I was able to finger detangle and I had very little shed hair!

Hit: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab

Wow, what a difference a revisit and heat will do. My hair is so freakin soft. Going to use it over the next few weeks to make sure this isn't a fluke LOLOL...

tiffers

I know. Doesn't it sound good?

There is a 'similar' site J. Monique Naturals which has 35% off = SCHOOL35 http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...HX9huDFpuvWklmf4D3wsDOA&bvm=bv.73231344,d.aWw

I ordered twice recently from Happy Nappy Honey. Both Orders were "Returned To Sender". The 1st order was Returned back Completely EMPTY.

She just got the 2nd order on Friday. She was suppose to let me know 'Why' that order was returned. Very disappointing.

I ordered twice from her during BF and got everything with no problems/issues.

tiffers I ordered from J Monique's Naturals too. I had a sense that these products would work on my hair bc I know what ingredients my hair loves. So I go in search of these ingredients in products and buy them from multiple companies. Examples: hibiscus, fenugreek, coffee, tea, ceramides, honey, BTMS, slippery elm, AVJ, etc

Shout out to Darcy Botanical's crème moisturizing gel ! I'm a new natural and I've been scouring the web and this forum on a hunt for various gels or products that could give me a good twist out. I realized that I have the moisturizers, but I need something that can give me good definition w/o crunch and build up too.

Last week I washed my hair and layered my APB leave in, oil, and then the DB gel --- Amazinggggggg definition the next day. More importantly, definition lasted up until I washed yesterday. Of course I retwisted my hair daily, but I only finger parted and sprayed a little water/leave in and it activated the product in my hair. Also, when I washed my hair I didn't have greasy, yucky, product build up like I had with the Oyin products.

Miss: tried Nairobi foam twice already. Once for roller setting and once to blow out. I thought I was a miss with rollersetting because I had just used a protein treatment, but I used it again to blow dry and my hair feels dry. No breakage but just feels dry. I'll retry again, but no time soon. Not happy with its performance

Ok, so I gave it another try, and it's a HIT! Loving this as my daily moisturizer!

Semi-Miss/
Shescentit Marula Hemp Hair Cream
Shescenit Seyani Hair Butter

The scent is wonderful in them both and while the cream does provide moisture it doesn't last as long as Oyin Hair Dew. The butter was just okay. It reminds me of the BASK Seven Fold but without as much shine.

Complete miss? Na, I'll just pull them out on occasion until they're gone.

For now it's back to my Oyin Hair Dew and BASK Tapioca Hair Creme. Next month I'll try the Pura Body leave in and butter.

Hit: finally getting an ulta. They built up the Bay Plaza shopping mall (that's for my fellow downstate people) and it's only 30 minutes away from me by public transportation. I told my friend and we both jumped up and down like a couple of Becky's. I'm just waiting for it to be open now.

There's going to be an Ulta at Bay Plaza??? Unbelievable! I haven't been there in a while, I need to check it out when I go back.

Girrllll, I almost cursed out loud with excitement at work when I read this.

LOL my mind is blown, I had no idea they were doing an indoor mall. What?! And I remember them talking about that Macy's since I was in middle school!

It's a 3 story indoor mall with jcpenney and macys on either side.

I wet my pants when I saw the ulta sign a month ago though. I'm stalking it until it opens. I should get a part time job just to support my habit.

**HIT** - Oyin 'boing'
I am just now using it from when i was gettg curlkit last fall lol

I used it on freshly washd hair, no other product, to do flat twists for a twist out. I got really nice spirals, defined to the ends. Also has a nice soft hold.

I twisted it and let it airdry for a couple of days
