I've considered this as well ( the heat training ) but can't go thru wit it she has Gorgeous hair I follow her on Instagram

Her curls looks stretched out yes but hair looks healthy to me whatever she's doing is working in her hairs favor
 
She has gorgeous hair :love: I think she should consider using the tension blowdry method. Her curls are stretched out enough that she shouldnt really need a brush and blowdry to get a sleek style.
 
I don't really think she heat trains. Biweekly heat =\= heat training. Her hair is gorgeous. Who cares about heat damage? Lol

Perfect layers and ends, I'm curious if she does her own cuts and trims like Monica.

I could care less if she has heat damaged ends, she owns it in her blow drying video. In addition, her hair looks healthy to me!

Hey!

I haven't heard her say she was heat trained but her hair is what I would classify as "heat trained". Easy to straighten and resistant to reversion.

Oh cool. I still like the NO products. Not sure what she is doing with her website though so have to give it a break for a while.
 
I think she has beautiful hair, and I don't see 'heat trained' as being an insult. To me, she has beautiful heat trained hair. When I decided to go natural I gave heavy thought to heat training my hair. I think a lot of naturals who do not choose to wear their hair in textured and kinky styles in real life have heat trained hair. A girl I know irl has hair quite similar to Betty but her hair is close to waist length and looks just like Betty's hair when wet.

If this whole natural hair thing starts to get on my nerves, I'd heat train before I relax again :lol:

Agreed - I don't know how her hair should be "classified" all I know is that it's gorgeous. :lol:

I've heat trained my hair in the past and loved the ease of styling, but after a while I missed my curl pattern so I ended up BCing. If I "train" again it will be after I'm at least apl stretched. HT hair looks better in longer lengths IMO.
 
Okay, "heat trained", I thought my sister made that term up. I'm just coming back from relaxing so right now I don't see heat training in my future. Maybe in another 2/3 years I'll flatiron now and then but to heat train it, I say, no.
