It's summertime and I'm browsing around at various textures that I may want to try for a sew in. I want to give my hair a break for a few months. Do you all have any favorites that you've fallen in love with and that blends pretty well?

So I just found a new website *easyweave.com* they have nice hair I want wavy most likely brazilian hair and I want to find a nice natural/realistic looking closure because I am going to jamacia and do not want to worry about leave out...
 
It's a shame thay I have yet to try a closure install. Im so afraid of not liking it, lol. I woul love a fun curly pattern for summer.
 
I think closures are so handy because you don't have to worry about matching textures to your hair and potential heat damage and yada yada lol but take the leap girl I sure you'll love it!
 
I'm getting a full head in a week and a half. I'll come back in here with some reviews. I bought herimports hair and I'm a little nervous. The reviews are so hit or miss, but it's soft in texture... So we'll see. I need to seal the wefts I know that much because I think it'll shed some.
 
I just received Mercy Mongolian Kinky and plan to wear it for summer. I normally wear closures but will have a leave out for this install.
 
I just installed some bss wavy hair it was a random purchase. The hair was on sale and I needed a break from my own hair...I plan to keep it in for 3 weeks..

I ordered 2 bundles of 20 inch and 1 bundle of 18 inches in the natural brown color.

Not sure on how I will wear it. I am trying to decide between a U-Part wig or a standard install on a net. Ladies, which do you recommend? I am a 4AB mix with about 8 inches of hair.

I also plan to color it with some wild colors and an ombre effect. I have been feeling kinda "plain jane" these last couple of weeks and wanted to spice things up for the summer.

I just did an install 3 days ago. I'm using the hair for the second time which is the first time I'm reusing hair. I use VIP luxury hair. It's a Peruvian wavy. I have the stylist straighten it and in about a week it starts getting wavy. It doesn't shed much at all and it never tangles. Even when I sleep without a silk scarf, it's super easy to tame with just my hands.

Last time I used a closure but this time I opted against it so I have a little leave out at the front. Everything else is braided up. The pic was taken after install.

Your hair description sounds like mine. I bought the hair in 12 inches but had the stylist cut it. I have an angular bob and she colored the hair as well. The back is the length of my own hair and the sides are about an inch to 2 inches longer than my hair.
 
Ive been digging Brandy's hair lately, but mine won't be as long. It would be weather suicide in Florida.

I'm loving this thread! I'm getting a sew in on Friday and I'm so excited because I am tired of dealing with my hair during this southern humidity--I'm 9 months post

I wanted to order their kinky straight but the $22 for shipping on top of those prices....:spinning: Maybe next year when I'm more stable (financially).

Instead I ordered Bobbi Boss Ocean Wave. I'm a bit uncertain about blending because I didn't see the hair in person. But plenty of transitioners reviewed it on youtube so I don't feel too nervous. I'm just stoked that I found an ebay vender who sells Bobbi Boss for $65. Would you believe that my local BSS was selling a 12" for $110?? I told the lady I was expecting it to be $80 and she says? "Bobbi Boss for $80?!!" as if that's unheard of ...Little did she know... :spinning:

I wish I knew about the Moisture Remy Rain. I definitely want to try that next time. Maybe in August.

I also have my her imports installed currently. My stylist is amazing though. A bit pricey, but amazing. She got ALL my hair under this weave without it looking bumpy. Like I am totally impressed.

Bobbi boss hair is very silky.
When I was transitioning I had to constantly flat iron my leave out
 
I am currently wearing an afro kinky u part wig. In the pic l haven't left anu hair out. Was just seeing what it looked like.

I bought two bundles and got the wig made. I initiallygot 14 & 16 inches but I cut it down to about 10inches

I love Bobby boss! Best hair I've ever had

The humidity makes hair a lil puffy but I have a bunch of leave out. I will probably reinstall this hair in the Fall or winter. I'm sure if I still lived in California the puffy roots wouldn't be an issue. Sigh...

ETA I just bought some edge tamer, I'm hoping it'll help. If anyone has any tips on the puffiness, I'd appreciate it.

This is only my second weave, but I have mongolian kinky curly installed in May with leave out. Love it. The hair is rom mercy hair/curls
 
I just had kinky curly installed ( dont remember the vendor). I'm going to try to wear it for 2 months.
