Have you ever noticed that most latina women keep their hair long....and many women from third world countries.... Just an observation

Yep. Also when I was in high school the poor white girls wore long hair while the rich ones had shorter hair.

Makes u wonder if this is why some black men or men in general go after women from these cultures because partly of the aesthetic of long hair

I partially agree with your comment because all salon stylists know that the upkeep of short hair (which is relaxed) is a whole lot more expensive to look good and maintain than long hair. Long hair can be tied back and all 'faults' can be hidden in a bun. I would say afro hair needs more attention & maintenance therefore if you choose a short relaxed hair cut, expect to be in that salon at least once or maybe 2-3 times during the week. (Especially when you're not great with your haircare.)

In Latin America, Venezuela psyche glorifies the longer hair look and if you don't have it, get hair extensions, period. Girls are groomed from under 10 years of age to think in this way therefore, I can agree with your statement related to cultural norms.

Quite frankly, I believe it's the fear of 'not growing your hair again' or 'slow growth/poor hair length maintenance' which are some of the dominant reasons why black women don't cut their hair - if not for fashion or personal preference.

I definitely think this could contribute to some black mens obsession with exotic women. This in addition to the fact they "consider" them to be more submissive.

Great point.
