I don't know about cinnamon oil but castor oil has helped a lot of ladies.:)

Sounds interesting. I think that some people may get tempted to taste the cinnamon oil too

I posted about this in the Alter Ego thread. When I had some shedding issues a few years back, my Dominican beautician suggested that I use Cinnamon oil on my scalp. It helped me tremendously. The cinnamon oil is said to strengthen your roots/hair. I just remembered about it a few days ago when my eyes spotted it in my bathroom. I'm having shedding issues now, so I'm using it again.

At the salon, they apply it with a cotton ball, but at home I use a dropper to easily apply to my scalp w/o parting my hair. HTH.

BTW, it should be an orangy-red color. Once I bought a different kind and it was stinking of alcohol. It was awful!

I forgot to add that it tingles when applied to the scalp. My mom hated that feeling so she stopped using it.

Where did you purchased it from? :sekret:

That's funny, I was just at the Health food store today to buy some Emu oil and saw something that said Cassia oil. Of course I looked at it to see if it was the same as Cassia/Henna and it parenthesis it said "Chinese Cinnamon oil." I was wondering what it was myself.

I just purchased a bottle of Alopecil Cinnamon and Rosemary Oil from my BSS. I plan on incorporating it later this morning. Can't wait to see how (if?) it works.

I could never find cinnamon oil, so I just ad-libbed- I added freshly ground cinnamon powder to my MN mix & massage.

My hair smells like cinnamon rolls!

Can you please post a picture of it? I'm here in Orlando and none of the BSS here have heard of the cinnamon oil. You ladies in NY have access to everything.

Can you post a pic of the bottle. This sounds like the perfect combination! I have to look for this...

Yes I'm one of them :lick:

But seriously, I have heard of this as well but I've alwasys used castor oil to thicken up. Hmmm....

I love some Cinnamon oil between Surge, MTG and this. My hair is outta control. Unfortunately I purchased this from the salon and paid too much for it however I found it out sickbay.biz and got it when it was on sale BOGO then I found it on bandmcosmetics for

wait for this.........................

$.99

yes $.99 I buy five bottles at a time.

When I started thinning on my left side my Dominican stylist suggested it. It did tingle something serious, but I didn't think it was working. I use it from time to time...maybe I should go back and use it consistantly.

Sorry for the quality. These are cell phone photos.

This one from the BSS. They are both from the Dominican Republic.

I've never used it but it seems like it would stimulate the scalp by bringing blood to it because it is a bit hot. Sounds good and no doubt smells good!

This is what I found on www.ibeautyny.com regarding the Alopecil Cinnamon and Rosemary Oil.

This is a fortifying and stimulating treatment that prevents dandruff, thightens the
hair root and helps to prevent hair loss, while giving volumen and shine to your
hair.
Directions:
Apply with light massages before washing your hair for 10 to 30 minutes. Needs not
to be heated. For better results wash your hair with Shampoo and Rinse Cream Apretol.

Ok, I'm not a thread highjacker....normally, but your hair was pretty in the light brown, but the black is soooo pretty on you.

I used to use this before I came on to the boards. I had a stylist cut my hair instead of a simply trim like I asked for  so I started researching things on how to grow my hair and asked all my friends what they thought would help and they gave me a list of products and oils and this was one of them. I used that exact kind with a bunch of other oils and my hair was stronger and grew. This was like a blast from the past. Have to try this again. :) God bless you all.
