It's $50 bucks?!?!

I think that it's pretty, but I would ruin it after a few nights because I use oils in my hair. I'll stick with the $3.99 "satin" bonnet from Sally.

However, I shouldn't pretend to be a Frugal Franny because I really do want to get one of her eye masks.

Nice, 50 bucks I cant do it....not even on a good day!

Ive decided that I am going to by a Plus size silk blouse, dress something with enough material to play with from the thrift store, wash it and make my own. I keep working on the details, but its in the near future.

$50? No.

Im going to see if I can find a way to have one made/make one for cheaper cause that bow is adorable. Not $50 adorable though. Wonder if there is a tutorial on YT

ETA: Who am I fooling? They are so cute but Im never paying over $5 for a bonnet. There is no reason for me to.

Like a previous poster mentioned, you could probably make it yourself--if you're good at sewing or know a good seamstress who's willing to teach you.

A gasped at the price initially but it is probably worth it.

The bonnet is charmeuse silk on the inside and out. Most bonnets are only silk or satin on the outside and not the inside where it counts. Secondly it appears to be well constructed. I could make one of these for about $12 - $15 but I am a seamstress. When you add materials, time, and labor I'd say she has these priced about right.

You get what you pay for.

ETA: It's also fully reversible. :yep:

How did you learn to sew? Did your mother/grandmother teach you, or did you take some classes?

I wish that I knew how to sew.

Hi vtoodler - Yes both my grandmothers and mother all sewed. I wasn't interested in it when I was younger so I really didn't take advantage of all I could have learned from them. My mother forced me to help her so I would at least have a clue

I tell people "If you can read then you can sew". Go to the library and check out all of the books you are able on sewing. Narrow it down to one or two that you like and buy those. Start with a simple project and just build your skills from there!
