and I love it!! Well long story short, my hair was driving me crazy. Since its gotten longer detangling has been madness for me!! I've contemplated on and off about textlaxig. After I realized that I no longer was enjoying my hair, I sealed the deal in my mind.

How I did it:: motion mild relaxer Cheapie conditioner Main and Tale conditioner Olive oil

3 parts conditioner to 2 parts relaxer 1 tablespoon evoo ( I had to do it twice cause I washed it off the first time to quickly and it didn't do anything. The second time I left it on for 10 minutes and was satisfied)

I will only do the roots next time which won't be for at least 4-6 months. My hair is still similar to my natural texture.

(Detangling is so much easier and the bulkiness has been decreased some. All pluses for me!! :)

Okay pics.

OP,
Thank you Thank you and Thank you. I was just about to start a thread about texlaxing/texurizing. I too am contemplating texlaxing/texurizing. I just bought Botanicals texurizer. My natural hair was fun at first but now that it's longer it's a headache. The knotting is driving me insane. If I could get that under control, I'd be good to go. May I ask what is your hair type?

One thing that is preventing me from moving forward is fear. My hair is 3c/4a or OS and medium fine. I don't want the texurizer to make my hair look limp.

Again, thank you as this was on point!!!!! Would you be okay if I sent you a few personal emails with questions I will have here and there during the days leading up to my transformation? Thanks so much!

Congrats!
Your hair turned out great!!

Welcome to the texlaxed side :o)

Congrats! It looks great!

I texlaxed recently too and I've been loving it! I'm sure you will enjoy the ease of it!

By the way, how has your hair been, with the coloring you have? I'm thinking about dying my hair the same color but I'm worried the additional chemicals will make it break off. Are you DCing often?

I absolutely love it. Its so gorgeous. You did an amazing job and your hair looks evenly texlaxed as if done bu a professional. I too have been contemplating this and i'm really wondering if its the answer to all my SSK and tangles. I'm a 4B and not too sure what my results will be like but i'm really itching to texlax.

@StarScream35 your welcome. My hair is also 3C 4A. Regular density individual strands are regular. My hair came out really well. I still have a good amount of shrinkage.

Your hair is beautiful. You seem to have one consistent curl pattern. I think about texlaxing too, but because I have 3B in the front middle, 3C/4A mixed on the sides and in the back...I don't know what to do with my hair. Maybe I'll just study my curl pattern more and do one section at a time.

isawstars so far it's doing ok but I have experienced some slight breakage. I don't think I'll press my luck and do any more coloring though.

Judwill07 make sure you do it in sections so you can watch it and compare.

Your hair is lush.

I want to relax my hair so bad today.

Your gorgeous pics did NOT HELP ME.....
