How is she able to comb her hair like that

Some people can abuse their hair, and there's no ramifications. In addition, to combing from the scalp, she used three (3) types of heat. Looks good!

When I used to brush like that I didn't really see a ton of hair on the comb because most of it was on the sink. The little pieces (the breakage) didn't cling to the comb like the shed hair did.

Her hair looked nice in the end. When the ends aren't curled it's not obvious that she recently got a trim though. I was thinking she was due for one.

I hate the way she combs thru hair in this video.... I of the start at bottom work way up method... :perplexed

I'm not really sure why this thread was created to be honest. If you're not admiring someone's technique to share it or learn from it then stay out of other people's business and let them keep their bad/good habits to themself.

It's like this site is obsessed with Ateeya, she is the anti LHCF and the fact she still has hair on her head despite using bad methods drives people cray, cray...

What hair? Have you seen her last video? It's even shorter than that now and chewed up in the back. She can still get it swanging with some serious heat though, and that's all some people care about. Whatever, to each their own.

Oh no! Not Ateyaaa! LOL This video is 3 years old.

I haven't watched her videos in like a year. Great personality, but to this day I don't get why people watch her videos. I'm sure her fans will curse us all out and remind us that Ateyaaa's hair is the same length and thin since 1995 because Ateyaaa likes it that way

ETA: When I was transitioning I'm pretty sure I combed my hair the same way. That's why I gave up and did the BC after 10 months.

ETA #2: I remember thinking 3 years ago.. all that work to get her hair done only to slap on an ugly, obvious wig :nono:

I think she may have a naturally resilient hair type. Her hair always looks really healthy and we know that she uses heat more often than we would recommend on LHCF.

Do you mean that your mom combs from root to tip or does she snatch and rip out her tangles In her new growth the way Ateeya does?

She only combs root to tip. So I'm pretty sure if she has tangles, she rips right through them.
I'm not saying it's right..just some(not a lot) people can get away with it and still have visibly healthy hair.

I try to remember to do it from the ends up but honestly, sometimes I comb root to tip. I go very slowly though - not ripping. My roots are very loose so I go slow when I get to the ends.

We can also remind one another what not to do as well

:yep:This thread had me go and watch her videos last night. All I know is when she is done with her hair it is gawgus! It is bouncing and swinging looking healthy and thick. Her most recent video was done in April using a whole new set of products and she still had that swing. Her technique is lock tight is all I can say:yep::yep:! It's the blow drying and curling iron that gives her that bounce and swing. Before joining the hair boards every week, I would wash and sit under a hooded dryer to get the hair mostly dry and then blow dry. I did not flat iron, but I would curl with the big barrel like she does. My hair would move, swing and bounce just like her hair. I got compliments ALL the time on my hair. Needless to say, honestly I NEVER get compliments now.......this stupid bunning thing. I might go back to my old wicked Aateya hair ways...:grin::grin:
