Aww thanks dear, that means a lot to me.

OMG, it's so BEAUTIFUL!!! And lush! That's the beauty of growing hair out long. When you decide to cut back to a shorter length, it's nothing but lushness remaining. No thin ends or odd shaped hemline. Just pure deliciousness.

I'm growing out now and paying attention to know which length I'll eventually cut back too.

Thanks for being such an inspiration. You DID that! But then again, look who your stylist is. :drool: Congrats, Girlie! Fabulous!

@Shadiyah

I was ready for something new and this is it (for now). Like I said in an earlier post, I may go a little shorter at some point. I reached my ultimate goal, and I'm satisfied. :yep:

What's your goal?

it looks wonderful but can I ask you a question @Allandra, so what happens, you grow your hair to the length that you think you want and once you get there you decide if it will work for you or not? and if not you cut it back to where you know you can handle it at???

I also notice that some when their hair gets longer they wash less than what they use to.

I am just trying to figure out what is the goal for???

Allandra I want to get to tailbone because every time I think a length is ok it never seems long enough like at the very beginning of my growth 2009 I wanted mbl and then once my hair started growing I said oh that is not that long I want wsl then I started seeing it on everyone and then I said that is not long either or not long enough and then I said ok tbl will be where I stop because I don't want to sit on my hair :lachen: I mean my hair is not hard to wash at all but we will see. I am on my way to mbl now so we will see.

Oh and I remember now why it kept changing. I want my curls to hang at apl or bsl and in order to do that my hair has to be really long because I still get a lot of shrinkage. my curls hang at my neck now and I am bsl. so that is why.

Thanks for your reply. What's your current length?

Allandra, I couldn't see your hair on my phone and now I can. Beautiful!!!! See, this is one reason I envy BCs. They give you such perfect ends. It's like you get hair with no damage. Look how full your ends look! Just beautiful!!!

Allandra, yours was one of the first post I read entirely when I first joined LHCF about a year ago - your hair has ALWAYS been beautiful to me and it still is!!! Love it Love it!!! Thick beautiful hair!!!

@Nonie

Let me clear this up lol. I was wondering why two people inboxed me about cutting off relaxed hair last weekend. When you put BC here, I think that's why they thought I had recently transitioned. Your post threw them off. :look:

I haven't had relaxed hair since my transition October 2007 to October 2009.

There.

And thanks for the compliment Nonie.

@Fhrizzball

As far as shorter, not that much shorter than it is now (still in the thinking stages now).

As far as styling time, I'll know once I wash it and do it in a natural style.
(as I don't normally wear it flat ironed, and I don't flat iron it myself).

Yes and it still looks wonderful. How much shorter are you thinking of going and how much styling time has this new length cut down on?

Oh, from your other post, I thought you were already at waist length and on your way to tail bone length. Thanks for clearing that up.

Allandra :lachen: girl I wish. I am a slow grower and now in my last yr on the wasit length challenge I am taking supplements and using oils and everything bantu knots trying to get there.

I mean your hair is gorgeous I just keep looking at the pic. but i am like why she cut it.... but I am over it now I just can not get over how full it looks.

:lachen: :lachen: How new to forum lingo are these people who PMed you Allandra. BC = big chop, not cutting relaxed hair. The hell? :lachen: So there are people whom when I talk of a stylist BCing my CBL hair in 2007 to under 3 inches assume I was relaxed? :nuts:

FYI, those who don't know me, I use words very literally. For instance, I don't consider "nappy" derogatory just because many do. The English definition is "tightly coiled" and that is how I use the word. So just coz people might BC their relaxed hair off doesn't mean you cannot big chop natural hair. WTH would they call what it if say a natural WL person cut her hair to a bob if not a big chop?

You're probably taller than me. I'm 5'1.5" (found out about the .5 on my first visit with my rheumatologist in January, so I just have to claim it). I usually round up and just say 5'2" lol.

Okay. So this gives me a a better idea of what I want my goal to be. I don't wear the high bra strap and I'm 5'2", which I know because the gyno nurse and I were in disagreement. I was claiming 5'4" :lachen: and she guessed 5'3" at best, so I know the feeling.
