I can't seem to find a comfortable spot, either where I put the dryer is too low or too high, where do you put your dryer to feel comfortable? Do you stack books what? Im tired of feeling uncomfortable, sometimes it's too low on my neck or two high that I have to stretch my torso and sit extra straight? Also do you put it on the highest setting or med?

I used to have that problem when I used the hard bonnet dryer. I got so frustrated that I gave it away. I now use a soft bonnet hose that attaches to any blow dryer. I got it at Sally's. It works great and I can dry my hair anywhere; even sitting up in my bed. I just use the pillows to prop up the dryer. I have both but have only used the gold'n'hot.

ETA: I wish the bonnet had straps attached to it but I use an elastic headband to keep it from flying off my head!!

I have a Pibbs 514, and the stand is adjustable. Before that, I had a table top hair dryer (had it for about 20 years). I used to have a small, portable table that was the perfect height for it. Try using books to stack it as needed so you aren't putting unnecessary pressure on your neck / back.

I do the same thing. I have the curlformers one to use with my curlformers as it can get pretty big and it has straps and a drawstring that I didn't see on others. Hard bonnets never really worked for me.

I watched a video tut in how to use those curlformers! They look really cool and pretty easy to apply. I might get the kit for my DD (and fir me :)

Im thinking of joining the setting for success challenge too

I bought the bootleg versions from ebay which work just as well and you can get double the quantity for the same price as regular curlformers. And join up for sure! I want to try my hand with regular roller sets but I am a horrid parter so I'm not sure how that will turn out on my natural hair.

I have a Pibbs like Allandra, and the height is adjustable. I sit at the computer desk and it is very comfortable.

What kind of dryer do you have? If it is a tabletop one, stacking some books under it could work, also get a cushion for your chair.

I'm like mshoneyfly I gave up on my hair dryer it is adjustable but I could never get it to the right height! It did a great job of drying out my eyeballs:lol: I've moved to a soft bonnet

I have a Pibbs I bought on CraigsList and a bonnet dryer I got at Sally's. Under the Pibbs it takes me 90 minutes to dry. If I use the bonnet I just plug it in and fall asleep with it on (my DH says I'm plugged into the Matrix) and it takes a few hours. This is all uncomfortable but beauty comes with a price LOL

Thx so much for letting me know about the attachment from curl formers! Bought one from Sally's and always wished it had straps. It's my travel soft bonnet. When I'm at home I just use my regular soft bonnet dryer from hot n gold, I love that thing!
