Okay, so I've been hearing and reading a lot on various blogs about how FANTASTIC GLEAU OIL MIX supposedly is.

Now, I ALREADY OWN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE OILS (:look: don't judge me, ok ) that I've seen mentioned as ingredient oils for GLEAU OIL MIX.

So I was wondering whether I....

.......should just make my own oil mix using the oils I already own instead of buying GLEAU? :look:  :look: ....or

......should just buy it? :lick:

Is it really that great???? If you say yes, what do you love about it? Please share?!

I need to know if I should get this OIL MIX or just mix up my own oil mix concotion using the various ingredient oils which I do already own. :perplexed

P.S. Can someone please post the full ingredients so I can confirm that I do indeed already have evey oil in the ingerdient oils. Thanks so much!

ETA: So I did order Gleau Oil Mix (2 bottles.) I didn't get the 20% off on my order as I ordered from Gleau through Amazon.com not from Gleau.com. So I paid full price .....and I think I'm the only one who did! Oh well :ohwell:

My order arrived on Wednesday but I haven't had time to try it yet. I haven't gotten home from the firm before 11 pm a single night this week so I was just too darn tired to even open the box it came in. Glad everyone's hair has been loving Gleau though. I'm hoping I will too! :lick:

I haven't purchased this *yet*

I know it's one of @Nix08 Favs....so I'm mentioning her.

I do plan to pick this one up from either Curlmart or Relaxed Blog Spot.:lick:

I had a bottle that I finished a while ago. I just repurchased during Black Friday.

My Review:

I love this stuff. It has the texture of a very light smoothing serum; its unbeliveably silky to the touch if that makes any sense. Its light and smells pretty darn good. IMO it has a nutty undertone to it, that may be from the vast amount of Argan Oil it contains (its pretty concentrated). Speaking of Argan oil, Have I mentioned how incredibly devine the ingredients are? LAWD HAVE MERCY! Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Camellia Oil and sooooo much more. Its like a bottle full of extreme greatness. Now keep in mind that I prefer heavier oils like castor, olive, hempseed and solidified coconut oil. So, for this to be one of my favorite oil blends is a frickin' miracle because its so lightweight. When you apply its almost as if it melts into your strands and gives your hair the most beautiful glossy shine :lick:.

Now as for price of this oil, it is quite expensive; however its pretty understandable as to why. It contains a good amount of "high end" oils and one of them being Jojoba. As we all may know the price of Jojoba oil has sky rocketed during the last couple of years, so with knowing that I see how the price could be on the steeper end town. BUT the good thing is that you get your money's worth. You know how I mentioned that it was concentrated early on, well that works in your advantage because a little truly goes a long way and I'm extremelyyyyy heavy handed so...

Overall, I love this product and will forever keep it in my stash. I give it
34568 Thumbs Up!!!!.

Ingredients: Moroccan argan oil, camelia seed oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, meadowfoam oil, wheat germ oil, coconut oil, vitamin E.

EnExitStageLeft Yes that's quite the review and I couldn't agree with you more:yep: I love this oil too. It is probably the one product that has been consistently repurchased from near the beginning of my hair journey. I love love love it and use it every single day yet that bottle still lasts me a few months. The ingredients are superb and very well balanced. I say get it!

Nix08 I knew that was Baby-Daddy Status for you

Shay72 was the first person I heard talk about it (an original Gleau-Head) but she's Natural.

She made me want this oil.:yep:

IDareT'sHair it sure is:yep: I've never once considered using an alternative oil for sealing my leave in conditioner after a wash or when I use to moisturize and seal nightly (before adopting daily cowashing) :nono: Because it is expensive I use all the other oils that I have into a mix that I use for oil rinsing, over top my DC or for an oil treatment.

@EnExitStageLeft Thank you so very much! That is a very thorough review! You definitely sound like you love this product. This sounds like one I may have to pick up after all, even though I own all those oil mentioned.

ETA: :lol::lol::lol::lol: @EnExitStageLeft saying I give it 34568 Thumbs up! Damn, I was hoping ya'll would say it's just aaight and the oils is enough! But anyway, I ordered it (x2 to save on shipping ).

I don't feel too bad. I only have a multiple oil partners - I'm in a commited faithful monogamous realtionship with my staple shampoos and conditioners, etc.!

Thanks to all who shared their experiences and opinions! I appreciate it!

It has some of the most delicious oils in it.: Argan oil, coconut oil, wheat germ, vit e, etc..
Its very light weight, hardly no smell and it makes the hair feel soft, shiny and well nourished. Tis all

I agree with the reviews previously posted. I am enjoying my sample sized gleau. A little definitely goes a long way. I personally believe in sealing with oils that penetrate - avocado is my staple - but I will add a tad bit of gleau to the top layer of my hair to ensure it gets a good layer of protection before styling. Nadege posted on this here.

Thanks for the reviews...I've been skeptical about trying this oil because all of the reviews I found seemed to be from reviewers who received the product for free.

Nadege provides great customer service, though. I was very impressed when I ordered her tea.

I see it is on sale for 20% off, and the price includes shipping!!! I just ordered some. I didn't see an option for international shipping, so will update on what happens for the international ladies, but the system accepted my order.

I think mine should be here on Monday. :lick:

ETA: So, if you purchase off Amzon, no 20% off?! Damn, I seem to be the only one who didn't get the 20% off promotion (which I understand is still ongoing). Damn! :ohwell:

never heard of it but if it gives nice shine and smoothness i'll try it. moroccan argan oil never did anything for me though. expensive bottles getting dusty under my sink.

this looks really tempting! i prefer serums to oils so i wonder how this would compare

I've seen this oil advertised and wondered what's soo good about it. Good to hear. This might be a good pre poo or a good addition to add to your deep conditioner.

Looking at the ingredients, I will tell you this from firsthand experience. If you choose to buy all of the oils to mix your own, you WILL pay a pretty penny. But the upside to that is, you will have a ton of the oils to last you.

Except for the camellia and argan. My argan oil was nearly $30 and that for for 4 oz BUT you don't use a lot. Literally I use two drop of argan oil at a time. Camellia oil, same thing.

But finally! Someone's made something with great ingredients and not a bunch of cheap fillers.

sylver2 you can use that argan oil on your face! I alternate between that and camellia or my olive oil blend at night.
