I may have to try this. I think Nadege mentioned that she was coming out with a moisturizer as well.

Looking at the ingredients, I will tell you this from firsthand experience. If you choose to buy all of the oils to mix your own, you WILL pay a pretty penny. But the upside to that is, you will have a ton of the oils to last you.

Except for the camellia and argan. My argan oil was nearly $30 and that for for 4 oz BUT you don't use a lot. Literally I use two drop of argan oil at a time. Camellia oil, same thing.

But finally! Someone's made something with great ingredients and not a bunch of cheap fillers.

@sylver2 you can use that argan oil on your face! I alternate between that and camellia or my olive oil blend at night.

Yes, I agree the oils are expensive but I already own all the oils in Gleau (not looking to purchase them). So my smart self was thinking okay, well, you own the oils alraedy so why not just make a mix myself.

I could be wrong, but when I saw Sylver2's post I thought Sylver2 was referring to Moroccon Oil the brand name stuff .

Funny thing but I started out with the Moroccon Oil stuff then went looking for 100% Argan oil myself.... That Moroccan Oil stuff is what is exactly how I ended up with so many oils. That stuff has silicones in it and the moroccon oil content was not that high.

I figure if an oil is beneficial and yet they have it way down the list of ingedients why not just buy the pure oil and add it to your conditioners yourself to make sure you are really getting the benefit of the oil! :yep:

ooh thanks didnt think about that. forgot i can use it on skin. dusts off

I wonder exactly how much money I would have, if I did not come into succumb to inadvertent peer pressure? :thought: Yes, I order the 4oz. bottle of Gleau

I did not want to admit it but yes I got gleau. Ordered the big bottle. Used it twice so far and my hair seems to be ok. My hair got hard with argan, jojoba, and coconut as sealants. Any of my previous blends had fail unless used as prepoo. Wheat germ was great but have only used it aftery DC to seal my leave in. With gleau it stays soft. Could be that I use a better moisturizer or that the gleau is really the right blend for me. Will be using everyday for 2 weeks and will update then.

venusfly, I actually have this serum/oil. I purchased before starting my HHJ. It's not bad, smells good and performs decent but contains cones as you mentioned. I stopped using it sometime ago but I need to find a use for it because this stuff cost a grip. I tend to only use it for when I'm doing rollersets. I need to find additional uses.

divachyk! You and me both. :yep: I also have about 2/3 of a bottle I bought about two years ago. It made my hair silky but once I learned about cones coating the hair, I was scared that the silky feeling was just the cones at work. So I got some 100% Argan Moroccan Oil instead and never finished the bottle.

Now that I clarifying periodically, I might risk using up the bottle for rollersets because yeah, it wasn't cheap, assuming it's still good.

Doing product research and reading ingredients is so important! Keeps your hard earned cash in your wallet where it belongs! :yep:

Looking at the ingredients I feel like I can make the same thing by buying big bottles of each ingredient and then making my own mix at home

IDareT'sHair K  First, I am a fine hair natural. I used it to seal in my WEN 613 Replenishing Treatment Mist (love that $26.00 spray). I like the Gleau a lot. It is very light, and to me perfect for sealing. There is no funky smell. My hair is super soft. I do not notice any residue from touching my hair, which is super soft by the way. I love this ceramide rich oil.

I would highly recommend this to those with fine hair. My hair is not weighed down, sticky or greasy. I used a dime size amount on each section (four total), and used my bone comb to distribute. I found this oil to be lighter than my grapeseed oil.

I may order another bottle, since it is still on sale :yep:
