I would ask her why she deleted my subscription, but cannot. It has baffled me all day. My question was an honest one. Well hopefully it will all be sorted out soon.

@phyl73

I shole hope you filed that PayPal Dispute and Escalate it.

I don't know what's going on, but I wouldn't put it off.

And I agree with SimJam everybody can brew a pot of tea.

You're always welcome to join us in the Coffee/Tea Challenge

I went to Paypal and I have to wait until 11/29/12 to dispute it. So I'll take care of that tomorrow. I'll just mozy over to Coffee/Tea Challenge to join you all. Thanks for the invite!

Whats really good with hair tea y'all? What does it do? I dont get it!?!?:perplexed

I dont think its something i will be trying soon(I have enough on my plate) but It sounds interesting. I remember seeing people making capnip tea for their hair and my eyes just glazing over any tea related post after that.:look:

She did a review of the tea on her channel and said she was not being paid for the review. It sounded promising to me. Once I ordered, I noticed her "YouTube" screen name as the merchant. When I asked her if she was the owner of the company because PayPal listed her as the merchant, she deleted my post. I posted the same question again the following day and she said she did not own the company and deleted me as a follower from her channel. I became very suspicious. Not to mention the website keeps changing.

This is a mess! Torri-Tea-Gate :look:

Hope you get your dispute settled OP. if not can you dispute directly with you credit card/bank?

Black tea and coffee can reduce shedding. You can use ayurvedic or herbal teas to achieve shine, thickness, strength, moisture, and growth. You can use tea as a rinse, a spritz, in shampoo or conditioner, under your DC, you can drink it for internal health...the options are endless.

Without commenting on the allegations in this thread, I took a look at the website, and grammar and spelling aside, the prices are a bit steep to me. Of course, I'm admittedly cheap, but...$14.99 for 3oz of tea? That's approximately 6 tablespoons. I buy my herbs in bulk locally and spent $7 on 6 different herbs. Can't remember how many ounces I bought of each herb, but I got a ton of stuff, and I know that 4 ounces of nettle only cost me 14 cents. You can buy a box of tea bags from the grocery or health food store for a few bucks. So the coffee/tea challenge thread is a wealth of information, and you can actually tailor your own product to your own needs, at minimal cost.

And if you prefer not to brew your own tea and don't mind paying, there are tea products available from reputable vendors.

The product may still be good. People can have great talent and produce wonderful things but just be lousy at business :nono:

If she makes it I'm not saying I wouldn't buy from her. I just wouldn't buy from her until she has it together. I looked at the price to put together a blend of the leaves she says are in the tea, it's just more economical for me to let someone else do it and I try it. Buy the time I buy 8 different teas that I don't know works :nono:

Don't feel bad. I was going to buy it Monday night. I got saved by the bell with that shipping. That's when I started looking around. I know better than to be the first in line :spank:

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. The product could still be good, it seems that she just didn't know how to go about launching it or didn't have enough confidence to believe that people would buy it if she stated it's her own. I hope it wasn't just that she decided to try and cash in on black friday sales aftermath. As long as you get the product, you haven't been scammed. I hope the herbs are as she claimed. It's unfortunate she went about it this way.

lmao let me go watch the second vid. The way she talks, this product does everything but cure cancer

Thanks so much for the information. I'm going to go to the farmer's market and purchase some loose teas and brew those. I used coffee rinses when I first joined, but for some reason I stopped. It was probably because I jumped on another bandwagon. I'm going to make some, keep it in the fridge and spritz my hair daily.

How could she have bought this product six months ago after she ran out of samples when the company was started this month?? Let me know where they do that. Crazy. Lhcf is blowing her out the water, shes gonna delete her yt, I feel it.

Yeah, though I like Torridiana and her hair :lovedrool: she is scheming. you have every right to what you want to buy OP phyl73 but she is talking about something I can go get at the store and brew myself with good "herbs". Those tea bags could be from the 99 cent store and she's advertising them as special. Be careful with these kitchen product makers OP. Since they're not a large known aggregate, you have to make sure you do your research on if they're legit, prior to buying. You know LHCF is on their 'A' game about spotting legit/fraud sellers.

She was one of my favorites too. Damn shame.

Lawd have mercy! My husband has told me to stop believing everything I hear.

. I've been subscribed to Torridiana for about 2 1/2 years now and not once did I ever hear about her using tea to grow that beautiful hair of hers. Now all of a sudden she is using this "tea" and people are eating it up thinking it will help their hair grow like hers. Nope. I Don't believe the hype.

Honestly, I think it's awful that she's being purposefully misleading. Unfortunately, there are people who will be duped by her. Since she disabled the comments we should all dislike her video.

I just dont understand the deceit. I mean, of course people are going to find out sooner or later.

Eventually she will disappear but shes gotta make her money first. I think she didn't want to be known as the owner because people are less likely to believe her reviews since she has something to gain.

Has anyone tried the hair product she has reviewed on YouTube? It's called HairTeaz. I ordered this product after watching her review and noticed that she was listed as the merchant. When I asked her about it on her channel, she deleted the first reply and only replied to the second question I posted. She stated she was not the merchant and gave her full "legal" name. When I tried to reply to her post to thank her for responding, she had blocked replies. Hmmmm...

I really wanted to try this product, but am going to cancel the sell because something just doesn't feel right.

I watched that video and I think it is her cousin. she talks about her cousin giving her the product to try.

But all she needed to do was to make a YT vid (6 months ago) saying that she experimenting a tea blend. Now if she used her channel to show the progress and changes she made to get the right blend, then she would have had a following.

sheesh .... so she ends up getting 20 orders and ruins her "fan base" ... so short sighted.

but then again, maybe she just needed a few bucks for the car note :nono:

These are all the things someone who wants to be successful long term would do. I think it's about a quick come up and nothing more. A car payment won't buy the car, she really had the opportunity to make a lot more money than what she make off her viewers. She could've been the next hydro (forget the brand name) thread but instead she opted for this gate.

These are a much better option for those interested. I think many people here order from them. :yep:

I don't believe anything thing said about her tea anyway. She seeps tea in vinegar and that replaces her shampoo, conditioner, leave-in...

She added that part (about not using anything else) for dramatic effect ... the tea IS the holy grail.

Im sure in the next 6 months Monday will be a great dane .... cause he was drinking the tea too :yep:
