Do any naturals baggy?

Right now I have some curl activator on my one inch of hair with a plastic bag wrapped around it. Lol. Is anyone else still doing this or am I the only one in the 'soul glo' flow?:lachen:

As a fine-haired natural, baggying killed my ends and made them weak.
I'm pretty sure other naturals still baggy or do the "green house technique". I just never saw any beneficial results from it.

Yup. Me likes it. I've got about 3 or so inches of hair. However I don't usually apply moisturizer before putting a baggy on. I may massage my scalp with oil sometimes. But I usually do it on dry hair. When I'm done, my hair has a light layer of water or whatever on it. I apply a very small amount of moisturizer or oil over it and KIM

I'm mostly type 4, with fine, medium and coarse strands

Yes, I baggy every night. I spritz, seal, and baggy. I have medium-thick strands. Works great for my hair.

Not feeling the baggy method. Don't like the way it makes my hair feel. I think because my strands are fine.

Me I do! I Baggie my puff every night, and I wear a Baggie under my phony puff during the day. Actually, I have a plastic cap on now under my slouch hat. :)
Can you tell I like the Baggie!! Lol

I'm glad to see mixed reviews. I thought I was one of the few who couldn't make baggying work. I put a plastic cap on for 15 minutes to help the moisturizer absorb and that's it. Leaving it on for long periods of time makes my hair feel hard. I couldn't get it to work for me.

I'm a newly natural with about 3" of hair and I starting baggying a couple of keeps ago and so far so good. my ends always feel soft and moisturized.

I LOVE baggying.... I have way less breakage because of baggying. I make sure not to overly moisterize so that my hair doesn't feel weak, but otherwise its wonderful, i use it off and on, anytime im at home.

I have fine strands and baggying with a moisturizer made my hair very weak and caused breakage, so no, I do not baggy this way. I have on a few occasions just used the baggy without applying any product.

I have fine strands and have been baggying since jheri curl days. I usually baggy with no products. The only time I baggy with product (S Curl) is when I am wearing my hair out during the day. I am usually in twists so it's the greenhouse effect all the way. Like charmtreese, I love baggying and baggy under hats and headwraps as well.

I have fine grass and I can baggy every now and again with oil but not slathered in conditioner. I almost always have to wash my hair though because it always stinks to me when I take the baggy off. I hate the smell of sour hair. :nono:

I have fine strands as well and when I baggy I alternate between moisturizing conditioners and protein. I use cheapie suave or aphogee along with an oil and I have had great results from it. Also I baggy my ends as opposed to my whole head, unless I am deep conditioning.

When I baggied, I would put a plastic cap on the ends of my hair with some sort of moisturizer on it and seal. I secure the bag with a scrunci. I'd then roll the ends up and tuck the section away inside the bun. My hair gets dry easily so it helped keep the ends moisturized.

My full head baggy was always uncomfortable to me especially in the winter months! And that crunchy sound while I sleep is wack!

Didn't do any of this often so perhaps it was never long enough to experience any adverse reaction.

I baggy 4-5 times at week at night. I mist my hair lightly with water and conditioner and sometimes seal with an oil. My hair luvs it. I think my hair stays mouturised because of it.

I've always hated baggying (natural and relaxed). It makes it uncomfortable for me to sleep and the moisture/dampness creeps me out. LOL.

That is all.

@Iluvsmuhgrass, you should try baggying bare hair that was previously washed, conditioned and ACV rinsed (I add essential oils to my ACV rinse). Baggy it dry not wet. I do this and my hair smells as if it's been freshly conditioned when I take the cap off. I once shared how I woke up smelling some fruity scent in the air and thought hubby was making some delicious breakfast, only to realize I was smelling my hair. I had conditioned with Organics Pomegranate in my last wash, and because I go don't use leave-ins, that was the only scent that was on my hair. The ACV mix only smells while wet. Once dry, my hair smells of conditioner. More so, as soon as I take a baggy off after a night of baggying.
