I remember waiting for the bus and this chick walked towards me with one one on her head looking like Sho' Nuff from the Last Dragon. I wanted to snap a pic so badly but I didn't want to get beat up.

Lol!!! I pictured that! Hilarious!

Just saw a LF out at the store. DH made a comment about it looking crazy. Since I'd seen the pics in this thread I have to say hers wasn't that bad. After we got in the car I pulled up these pics and told him he might want to take back what he said. He saw the pics and told me I was right.

i would be amused but honestly there is something that strikes a note of sadness in me about them :nono:
i know what you mean, girl.
this rampant weave dependency stems from some real issues about one's own hair....

and i'd be so heated if i found my pic on one of those sites.

One of the worst things to happen to the black community:nono:.
I mean, to me it seems like it would be impossible to have any edges while wearing the things. Any lf wearers care to enlighten me?

my first was a LF one form a wig shop it never fit.
( those are in stock wigs) you get what you get...
Then I discovered everybody head, hairline, edges, hair under the wigs have to be taken in consideration. custom ordering is good for newbies
I started measuring & ordering my LF's.
I measure in front of my hairline ( edges)
I apply the adhesive or the tape in front on my edges.
no glue in my edges.:nono:
I don't have strong edges. I couldn't afford to lose what little I have..... it's all about customizing the wig, to your face shape, hairline or thinning them down to make them more realistic....

the wigs posted here reminded me of girls in the short multi colored wigs..:nono:..... I thought are they serious?

The ones with tracks glued down on their foreheads are "hood" versions of lacefronts.

Not gonna lie these pictures really make my day!!! Post more!!!

Honestly I'd take the face tats over that ratchet craziness going on on top of her head! :lachen:

nah....she can get a clue and find a hair board and fix that hurr up......but that there face tattoo.....ummmmm that is foreverrr....:nono:

When did black women start looking like such clowns? Its not even just the hair... There has got be some correlation between this and untreated mental illness in the black community. I'm convinced of it.

To this day I still can't believe Brandy got on the cover of Jet looking like that. Lmbo.

I thought about this too. Some of the women in these photos look like they may be mentally or have something going on... some of the ones IRL too.

Do people really walk around with their hair like that? I have never seen anyone with hair that looked like this IRL. Everytime I see pics like this I assume they are posted for the laughs and either they are somehow doctored or the people in the pics intended for it to be a joke.

I've seen people on the bus in London looking like some of these pics.

Yes! Sadly if you take a trip to my college you will see back to back bad weaves and crazy looking lace fronts in just about any color under the sun. I remember when I first started going to this school and I would just stare at the girls hair as I walked to classes now I just look straight ahead because its just too sad.

UM..I hate LF's but I cant ride with face tatts..Those ratched wigs can be taken off..but not face tatts..The only thing I think when I see tattoos on the face or neck is this person will never have a job making more than minimum wage unless they are an entertainer or an artist..SMH...

Most of these are "front tracks".... Weaves "inspired" by lace fronts. My mom showed me one today :nono:
