Can you leave in regular conditioner as a leave in?

Many people, including myself, leave in reg conditioner. I would just suggest that it be silicone free and not a protein condish.

ETA: u may try diluting with h2o if it's too concentrated

I agree. : )

Yes, it changed my life!
Smooth your damp hair from root to tip with it and it will thank you. (Don't worry if it looks white, it will disappear while air drying). I prefer silicone free, protein free and also glycerin free conditioners (glycerin is good but as a leave in dries it my hair out if the weather is dry and becomes sticky if the weather is very humid, so I just avoid it). And my hair doesn't like mineral oil aka petrolatum as an ingredient for some reason. I like tresemme because it has all those features and it's nice and creamy. I also really like natural conditioners.

You can also dilute it with aloe juice, or if you want it thicker you can add a little bit of your favorite butter, especially on the ends. Adding a drop of castor oil works wonders for moisture retention too.

Most leave ins have the same ingredients as regular conditioners they just have more water. This is because full strength conditioner can feel heavy and waxy on the hair if you leave it in. So I'd dilute it first.

You may have to try different ones to find one you like. I like the Tresemme Naturals but it makes my scalp itch when left on. So I use Deva Curl One.

But using conditioner definitely works and leaves my hair very defined when I do a twist out.

USER]Arian[/USER]I still can't find one that works.

Sent from my 4G Thunderbolt using LHCF app

What have you tried and what wasn't working?

Personally I do this all the time. Whatever conditioner I'm using I just add a squirt of my oils and it works pretty well.

I like the V05 moisture milks. I just bought a couple of bottles yesterday, just for this purpose.

It moistures better. Cheaper too

Yep. Do this all the time. My two faves are Giovanni Nutrafix (mild/moderate protein) and Nature's Gate Aloe Conditioner (old formula without protein). I alternate the two and add whatever I feel my hair needs (glycerin, agave nectar).

I am 4a, fine and on my way to APL if this helps...

I'm glad you can because sometimes you use a conditioner that's so good for defanging and moisturizing reasons and you don't want to wash it out! I'm glad you can

I do this with Live Clean Argon Oil Restorative Conditioner and seal with JBCO. Regular leave-in conditioner does not work for my hair it feels like nothing is on it. For a leave in to work I have to put an extra large amount. My hair is thick and only regular conditioner will do.
