Is anyone still taking either of these?
Which one are you taking and how is it working for you?

I am shopping around for some silica supplements now and would like some input before I buy....

I just started taking the liquid Biosil today so I don't have any results to share. But I thought I'd *BUMP* this in case anyone else does.

Refresh my memory. I remember taking something like this a few years ago. Is this the liquid silica?

nakialovesshoes Yes. The one I'm taking is this:

Biosil

I've been taking Jarrosil for over two months and am still waiting to reap the benefits. :perplexed The instructions say to take ten drops per day, but I've been taking thirty, and still nothing. I bought it for my joints and have seen no improvement. Definitely no improvement in my nail strength/growth or hair. After this bottle is gone, it's a wrap. This stuff is booboo.

Someone a few years ago was singing the praises of Hubner Silica Gel. I'll probably try that next.

I've been taking Biosil (10 drops a day) for About a month now. My nail tips are whiter. My hair seems stronger and it seems like my skin got a little bit more taut. But I honestly forgot the reasons why I'm taking this?? Are we looking for hair strength or growth or what?

tiffers
I've been taking MSM for years for my joints & I can honestly say it's the only reason why I haven't had to have carpel tunnel surgery. From what my herbalist tells me, all MSM brands are not the same & Trimedica is one of the purest that you'll find (in case you decide to try it).

Sry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

tiffers Thanks for the update; that was what I was afraid of....smh! I guess I'll just go with the original stuff. I'll definitely be researching the Hubner gel in case the Biosil doesn't work.

both. I'm glad to hear that your hair is stronger! That's exactly what I need. My hair is always snapping no matter what I do to it. :nono: May I ask where you bought your Biosil?

That is great to know. I have mine right next to me, for I added it to my water a few hours ago. I initially purchased it for my joints as well, but I hope to reap the hair benefits also.

Another sorry for the hijack...

I've only been on this for a week, but my joints feel great. Biosil is the only thing that is new, so perhaps it's having an effect. I was feeling good so I thought I'd do a brisk walk on my treadmill. A few minutes into it, I felt good enough to jog. I jogged for more time than I have in over a year. Even if this does nothing for my hair and nails, I'm sold because of the way I feel today.

I've been taking it three times per day. So far, so good...

I bought mine through Amazon.com via Vitacost

I'm also drinking the bamboo tea and I heard that it has the highest concentration of silica.

Silica supplements definitely worked for me in the past and I'm revisiting them this fall. I started drinking FIJI water again, bought the bamboo tea, and the Biosil drops. In about 3 weeks I could see a difference in my nails and eyebrows/ lashes.
