I cut off all my hair after a 5.5 month transition. The journey has been... interesting? I've been frustrated, stressed, confused, ready to quit, and finally carefree.

My biggest moment of frustration was experiencing nearly 6 months where I had about 1.5 inches of growth. I know this because my hair has been colored since my 3rd month natural, and the growth from my scalp to the color treated area was 1.5 inches. I went to the doctor, got a blood work up and discovered that I was very iron deficient and anemic. After finally getting my iron levels close to normal, my hair growth sped up again.

Enough with the talking. Here are pics of my journey so far.

I didn't even realize yesterday was the 29th until it was evening LoL. Oh well. Anyway, my overall hair goal is MBL. Hopefully I will make it & if I do, I'll see if I want to go longer. Have a great day ladies.

Gorgeous! I love your coils and curls! Is the reddish color in your hair henna or a permanent?

Your hair doesn't even look real (that's a compliment), it sits so perfectly on your head- shapes, ringlets and all.

how do you get your curls to pop ?,
I am checking out your blog, think I can find the answer, cool:yep:

Thank you for the support and compliments ladies :)

To answer some of your questions:

The reddish color is Bigen Deep Burgundy. The first time I ever used it was to cover up a brown color I had for my very first dye job. The color turned out very close to my skin color and it was washing me out. I did not want to use anything with a developer again so I tried the Bigen and it worked pretty well.

My regimen is:

Wash every 3-4 days. I use a shampoo mix of 2oz shampoo, 1oz aloe vera juice, and 5oz conditioner. I wash my hair in about 8 braids.

Detangle using VO5 SHea Cashmere or Tresemme Naturals, and Grapeseed Oil. I use this brush:

The bristles are well spaced and flexible so it isn't pulling my hair out.

I DC once a week (when I remember to lol) using a cheap conditioner, aloe vera gel, honey, and grapeseed oil. I will throw an egg in there every 2 weeks for protein.

I style using conditioner or a mix of crisco and aloe vera gel. I used to diffuse but now I air dry.

I dust every 2 months and shape my hair twice a year. I don't PS much because my hair is very low maintenance. I don't mess with it much.

I love your puff with the color!! How long did it take you to do a puff? My last relaxer was 1 year ago and I STILL cannot get a proper puff
