I have an interesting question that I thought of as I was looking through old pictures of my hair journey and how far I've come along.

I noticed that I had beauty regimens and makeup looks that match my hair and mood of that time. ... ESPECIALLY when natural (which i still am, underneath my wig, lol) Ex, I would either wear brighter makeup, because I could emphasize my face more, or I wore No makeup at all, because i was 'Natchal' lol

I was wondering if any of you found the same thing, that you have styles or periods of hair where your makeup or fashion sense might change to accommodate it... does that make sense?

I do see your point. When I was relaxed I wore a lot less makeup than when I BCed. I felt I had to wear makeup more often because my face was more prominent since my hair was super short now.

I did the same thing... I either went really BRIGHT! because...well... especially when I BC'd I had very short hair, so i decided to play up my features...
but then I went to the other extreme, and wore no makeup at all...

I guess this hasn't happened to anyone else in the world, just us, lol:yawn:

Hi,when I was relaxed I would use color eyeliner,it look nice on me with straight hair..
Natural hair I use soft black eyeliner if any, because my hair is full...

Happy Hair Growing!

there is so much truth in your title. the longer my hair gets the less make up i use, cant wait for full apl or can i say it bsl, i may throw the make up bag away all together lol

I went through a period after my BC where I wore make-up daily. However, with styling my hair as it got longer, I became less inclined to take extra time to apply make-up. I go bare faced to work daily, and only wear make-up now if I'm going out somewhere on the weekend or on special occasions.

I'm the opposite of many of you; I only started wearing makeup when I hit APL. Now makeup is fun. I don't see myself stopping as my hair grows longer.

I wear makeup everyday period. On days where I'm lazy I wear less. At night I wear slightly more. I only wear none maybe on a weekend day where I want to be bummy

Not a big make-up person...alil lip color and eye liner when I go out is all I do. But I will say that since wearing my natural hair "out" I am super anal about keeping my eyebrows neat!! It just polishes the "look" in my opinion.

i know exactly what yall mean. now that im relaxed, i wear make-up because with straight hair i just fell plain. when i had my big fro, i woulld feel like a clown if i had on a lot of make up lol.

I usually wear a bun and I wear light makeup daily because I feel ugly and plain without it (and my skin has a ton of hyperpigmentation). When I do attempt a hairstyle it's usually an updo or twists so I'll switch my jewelry to complement the vibe I'm going for that will look afrocentric or eccentric looking <--based on others descriptions. and I'll get fancy with the makeup e.g. eye shadow, contouring. I do that because the it's rare I actually "do" my hair so I'm feeling fancy anyways lol.
