One of my students was playing my hair today. I caught her twice, but, i think she may have done it without my knowledge because there are some knots and giggling.

Though... you could say no but perhaps you don't know. :sekret: :weird:

My boss did it twice....I caught her the third time and politely told her to stop molesting me......the next day when she tried to do the same thing again I pulled her to the side and got straight "ethnic" on her...since then no problems.....

Dying to know...what exactly was she doing? Were there other people around?!?? I'm trying to imagine in what situation my BOSS would think this is okay!

Shadiyah how old are your students?[/QUOTE]
they're in 2nd grade so all around 7.

i happen to love when people play in my hair:)
people don't play in my hair often so I don't have a like/dislike of it, but i don't appreciate knots. And I'd at least like a heads up. My student told me she just wanted to touch it. This made me realize that I'm going to miss them, today was my last day with them.

I had a bantu knot out and she was picking the ends up while we were in a meeting and rubbing them back and forth against the back of her other hand. I didn't feel it because she was doing it on a piece of hair in the back of my head, the only reason why I noticed was because the girl who was sitting next to me kept getting this odd expression on her face. When we took a break she told me what was going on and it was at that point that I started paying attention to my boss instead of the person giving the presentation. There were approximately twenty other people in the room but no one else said a thing to me or her for that matter. The guys probably didn't notice but i'm sure the other women did. It just totally weirded me out....almost like she was caressing my hair like my man does after "quality" time.

AAAWWW that is so cute. My grandsons do it sometimes when they are laying on me and the baby when he tries to grab my hair I have to take his hand away because he will pull it out.

I know you will miss them. I would be sad too.

Yes!
  • Some random man on the train... freaked me out!
  • Every SO I've ever had (and scalp massages relax me to sleep)
  • Extended family in order to weave/wig check me
  • My third graders once upon a time
  • A father of one of my third graders :perplexed
  • Previous co-workers and boss... yes, in front of customers and other co-workers

I guess my hair is just that fabulous!

Yep. I was at a bar (several drinks deep) and I didn't see this grown woman approach me on the left. It wasn't until I felt lifting on the side of my head that I turned around and saw this woman standing there with this stupid grin on her face carrying on about she hadn't "seen hair like this since the 70s". I moved my head back, told her in a stern voice, without grinning, that she needed to remove her hand from my hair, I'm not a dog and "you're not petting my coat." Nope, she didn't move her hand and she continued to stand there with that grin on her face and she TOLD me that she thought my hair was cool and she wanted to touch it. Well, I proceeded to throw my drink in her face. I don't play stupid with grown a$$ people.

OMG...I can't believe ole gal didn't move her hand after you spoke to her...dang.....hope that drink you gave her quenched her thirst!!!!!!:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Uh yeah, she'll think twice before she runs up and sticks her hand in a stranger's hair. I know she doesn't want another half of a whiskey sour to end up trickling into her Chanel purse.

I wish someone would play in my hair.....

but er....does it count if hubby tugs it during "relations?"

I was in a club grooving next to this platform and realized this young WM was full on playing in my curly fro. I felt my hair moving around and turned around and he was standing directly behind me with his hand out. WTF?! Clearly the rule of no touching a BW hair is being tested. I don't mind if permission is asked since I love the way it feels but not the under cover touches.

How do you "knot" (see what i did there?) feel folks playing in your hair?

Normally I do feel it but when their touch is really light and your concentrating on something else sometimes it takes a while for it to register on the brain. Especially when its in the back and you don't see them moving in for the feel lol.:yep:

I always realize it.

THEN....they love to run their fingers down my hair when it's twisted or curly and of course they hit snags.

So I scream like a banshee and tell them they pulled my hair out...they get scared and never touch me again.

I used to love for people to play in my hair. I still kind of do (except when I have a wash n go or it's curly, because we all know what happens then . . . POOF).

Anyways to answer the question. The kids that I tutor tend to touch my hair and sometimes I don't realize it until I get up or something.

I have to stop myself from touching lush thick hair. I swear my hand has a mind of its own. If I see curls I just want to play in them, if it’s straight I want to rub it between my fingers; if it’s spiky I want to pat it.
Male, female, child or adult thick hair fascinates me.

well i was dealing with my other students, they need my full attention. First I was helping one with a problem and then one started to call another name and the the other one started to threaten another. :nono: My hair is the last thing on my mind.
Also, some people have really light touches, now if she was close to my face I'd have noticed
