I fianally made it to BSL and wanted just the straggly ends trimmed so my cousin said that she would trim my ends, i trusted her she had trimmed my ends before. Well she actually cut my hair abot 6 to 8 inches. i am so pissed I am thinking about weaving my hair up.

WOW....I am pretty much to the point where the only one I trust with my hair is the man up above.
 
Oh no. I am so sorry to hear that. I feel really bad for you. I know how you feel. :nono: When a hair stylist did this to me I just felt like just :boxing: her out. It's even harder to swallow when it is someone you trust and that person knows exactly how much to cut off. Not trying to start nothing with your family. But you might not want to have her hands in your hair anymore. This is just wrong in so many levels.

But it will grow back. I can see that you are a determined person. You know what works for your hair. So you will be able to get your length back. Again I am truly sorry.

When I looked in the mirror I was speechless I was too mad to say anything. She felt that she didn't take that much off, but she she did look at the pics.
 
You need to tell all the aunts, cousins, and whoever else so they can get in that a-- too. I'm sorry but I would be HEATED and folks would have to know about it.


Then later on I would consider calming down and forgiveness and what not..
 
Thanks my LHCF sisters for your support. I am thinking about weaving my hair up with kinky curly hair for 6 to 8 months. My family members say that I am tripping because I sill have a full head of hair. That isn't the point. my cousin know how I am about my hair and to cut that much hair off. She has trimmed my hair before like i wanted so i trusted her.
 
I think it is time to remove yourself from your cousin's life. If she is jealous about your hair imagine what else may bother her. Can't have those negative people in your life.

Now I am pissed. Did she say that after she looked at the pics. What does she mean she didn't take that much off. How long is her hair? Did she atleast apologize? That's that bull*ish right there.
 
beat her.... nawh don't do that, but she did that on purpose! the whole family would know what she did. i would still be talking about it. every time they saw me coming, they would know what she did. she is a dirty monkey for that! (i'm sorry for calling your cousin a dirty monkey)

i'm pissed for you! everybody in my family knows i am serious about my hair! i will jump into my avatar over my hair!

yep! weave it up and break it out for the holidays! do a lot of hair flips and flings in everyone's face!
 
OMG this happened to me last year. I went from BSL to APL in one "trim" I was beyond pissed and later learned jealousy was the issue. Safe to say one year later and I reached MBL, I know its hard to face but it will grow back. Hugssss
 
I'm sorry your cousin is a hater on that beautiful mane! Clearly if she has been allowed to trim and knew that you were 'bout your hair she did this spitefully. Damn shame when you can't trust family.

...so no beat down?? How 'bout a stern talking to and some chicken neckin'?? I understand family gets multiple strike outs but this is your HAIR! j/k....sort of.
 
Awwww.... OP im so sorry this happened to you. As hard as it is.. please dont let this come between u and your cousin... im one to think the best of pple, and refuse to believe that she really set out to destroy your hair... at least intentionally.. in the grand scheme of things.... a lot worse can happen but i know its hard to hear given all the time/money/effort you put into growing it. it will grow back with all the knowledge you have.. just be sure to NEVER give her your hair to trim again... but please forgive..... hugs...
 
Uh oh. I don't understand what happened. Did she think your ends were damaged or something? It looks like it was more of a cut so that your hair looks thicker and more full. I don't think she understood that you wanted to keep your length. Sorry that it happened. I understand how you feel.
Whenever I see one of my girls brushing their hair too hard or sometimes when I see my oldest has "done" her hair without me, I feel like :nono: because I think of all the man hours and money that I have put into getting it long and healthy. I guess it's best to face a mirror no matter who is cutting it? I think we would have been like this afterwards - :arguing:. Miss thang would not be cutting my hair again.
 
Did you tell her to make your hair even? If so, I understand why she cut so much. See the picture below, she cut your hair even with the shortest layer (see area in yellow circle and the yellow line). But she should have cut near the red line, since you only wanted to make your ends neater.

You all are so uplifting and funny a$$ hell! Milkchocolateone I didn't want my hair cut even because I knew that it meant cutting alot of my hair off. I stressed to her to just trim the straggly ends 1 to 2 inches not a cut. Like just below the red line.
Sipp100 My LHCF sister I know I can trust you to trim my hair next time.
